You only get fined for entering a Crit Air area. You will not be fined for entering France without a Crit Air sticker. It goes on the inside of the windscreen not on the back of your car/van as you suggested.
You are of course correct! I didn’t realise I’d said this until after the video was published. I’ve since corrected this is a subsequent episode but thank you for pointing out the mistake. Sorry!
Great upload thanks - I have the European Campingaz 907 bottle in my camper van. The recent gas crisis means I cannot exchnage it for a refill here in North East UK. Not sure of supply in wider Europe, but to rely on any liquid gas supply at this time is tricky 🤓
My only issue with the Acsi card for me was they debited my account for the following year when I did not ask for it, I was so irritated by this I never used them again, So inform your listeners that once you take out this card, they will keep taking your money until you ask them to stop and even then it has to be at least a months notice maybe two, correct me if I'm wrong?
I have previously joined ACSI but have found that the camp sites I stayed on only discount by one adult per night. As I travel solo it is not worth me joining.
Very informative podcast. Many thanks. Quick tip - Republic of Ireland is the name of the Irish football team and not the country. Constitutionally, Ireland or Éire is the official name of the country, although it is indeed a republic.
Yes a good idea tho not all fuel stations are happy that you need to refill the bottle out of the vehicle. I’ve been stopped doing it. And my understanding is this is not allowed in Belgium. But a good suggestion thank you
@@MotorhomeMatt I have an extension piece so I can leave the bottle in the gas locker never had an issue it also helps with the new bigger rubber blowback guards
Good spot! Unfortunately, we can't alter this after upload so you'll have to forgive the error. 🙏 Thank you for your kind words though and for sharing the podcast. Glad you're enjoying it!
So the Crit’air sticker goes on the back of your vehicle? Really🤔? Shouldn’t you do some homework before making statements like this? Portraying yourself as an authority😂
You are absolutely right, what a parapraxis! GB sticker on the rear, Crit'Air on the lower right-hand corner of the windscreen and failure to do so could result in a fine. Thank you for pointing out this error, we will add this correction in the notes.
Be careful where you place your sticker on the rh side of your windscreen as there have been several reports of MOT stations removing them as they are placed within the swept part of the windscreen.
I found this fantastic. Really helped me on my maiden voyage to France.

Another winner! Thanks for correcting. You are quite right

Thank you! It certainly is difficult at the moment, unfortunately. Sorry to hear you're having trouble.
I designed a pipe with the right connections and refill them my self, every fill I save about €25 plus.
Campingaz is sold throughout Europe.

Yup! You win a prize. Thanks for noticing my stupid mistake. You’ve made a vip list!
I’d add on the right hand bottom corner too.
Ordered my Critair stick nearly 2 months ago and still not arrived and I travel in a week 😮
Really? Usually takes a week to arrive. Might be worth a chase or another purchase. Did you buy from the French gov website?
@@MotorhomeMatt yes. Iv got confirmation and it’s shows yellow class 2 sticker on the email so I’m going to print it and stick in window

Hi, could you explain that again? I'm a solo traveller and was about to join ACSI.
Thanks
Welcome :)
someone mis-informed you. .uk is uk and .ua is Ukraine

Thank you for listening and for the correction. :-)
Crit'air on front not back lol 😂
You are quite right! I’m getting old… mistakes come easier these days
If you travel in Europe for a few weeks at a time get a safefill bottle £200 not £1000
