Love the fly tying tutorials. Would love to see more.
Thanks, they've traditionally done poorly for me so I kind of stopped. I should work on some new ones
I am always amazed at your skill in tying your flies. I just don't have the same attention to detail.
Well, practice makes perfect. When I started selling flies, the sheer numbers of flies tied grew exponentially. I also started wearing 2x readers. I love using magnification.
Dude I like this way of putting weighted wire on way better than what I've been doing, definitely going to try this
Yeah it's faster and zero waste. It's pretty slick.
No kidding, that's a game changer... No if i can only figure out how to make such quick, clean noodles with my dubbing...
Thanks for sharing:)! I’ll have to try tying this little guy. 🤙🏾
Definitely a fly that should be in everyone's nymph box!
That’s a cool pattern. I’ll be adding that to my nymph arsenal for sure. Jeeze Eric you are really churning out these vids. Love them but don’t burn yourself out!
Ha it's a great clean up fly, it's oddly productive.
Don't worry about burn out, I just happen to have a bunch of stuff all sort hit close together. I should be going back to 1 a week and maybe a tying video every week if I can swing it.
Looking forward to trying these out that I had ordered just recently from you, out on the river soon!
Thanks again for that order. Let me know what you think!
Awesome video Erik! Cant wait for the next one
Thanks you thank you! Good luck in the next drawing!
Nice clean tie Eric! HUGE congrats on the Driftstone Beads! Take care dude👍
Thanks Steve, it's been a long time coming. Now I just need the word to get out about them :D
nice job, cant wait to tie it
Thanks, enjoy the tie. It's a pretty effective little "bug"
Great looking pattern! Your fly tying videos make me want to try myself :)
Nice do you tie flies?
@@driftstone No but it seems like fun. I do like to hand craft things so I might give it a try at some point.
This fly looks sick!
It's oddly effective.
You make it look easy!
I found using 2x readers helped me improve my ties significantly.
Love the tying video Eric. I haven't fished this pattern, but have friends who use it often. I might have to try it out!
It's oddly effective, I'm sure you'd love it.
Love it!
Great bug, could use some to add to my nymph box !
You know I recommend them :D good luck with them.
Thank you
You bet, it's a great little fly
Frankly in the fly fishing wrld. All u need is 2 flies in all imaginable sizes. The Duracell can be one of the two most essential ones
I agree about needing fewer patterns in multiple sizes. The duracell is one of those for you?
Need a light background with the dark flies
I wish I had left my white board in there for the split thread part, it *was* hard to see what I was doing.
That fiber spinning is impossible without a material clip. Gotta get one
You could put the feather in there and then cut it off the stem while trapped in the thread, but it's tricky. My clip is just a chip clip from Walmart
Nice job on the pattern buddy. Now...I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and tie a GREEN BUTT SILVER HILTON you will want some on the Klamath when you move
Alright alright, challenge accepted. What kind of hook do you recommend?
@@driftstone Alec Jackson steelhead hook size 5 (Daiichi hook) but any long shank hook heavy wire hook works or tiemco 7999
Not a Duracell. You’ll want to try brown ice dub.
