Big thanks IPMS Santa Rosa for reaching out to me about the Mustang. As I suspected, the medal must have simply been lost in the shuffle. It was no problem for me but they kindly insisted on mailing it to me which is very nice of them to do. Like I mention, I'm not in it for the awards, but to support the clubs and the hobby and meet friends new and old, and now thanks to IPMS Santa Rosa reaching out I have new friends! That's worth way more than the medal to me 😁
Thanks for filming and sharing this experience with us all. Was a pleasure watching what was on display right there, must say there was some really cool custom work on several cars 👍🏼 well done for your achievements too 😊
Thanks for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed buddy. All the customs were really cool, I would like to get into trying more of it myself vs building mostly box stock.
Thank you, trying to improve with each show I do and slowed down just a tad this time. I agree it's a bit more pleasing to watch spending that extra second or two on each model.
Hope to see you at the Fremont show on Nov 9th if you can make it. I know Billy Strange, Rattlecan Shenanigans, and JD's House of Hobbies are all thinking of going. I'm going to try to convince Left Coast Model Car Builds to show up too.
@@scaleffect Lots of amazing work! My builds will never be seen in a contest such as this, I just enjoy the hobby and seeing all of these amazing builds is a plus.
Great coverage! Those are my patina builds that pop up starting at 12:18, my '56 chevy, my '60 chevy and my '32 ford. As well as my two 1/64 dioramas starting at 27:21 my barnfind porsche and my lifeguard hut which im still bummed I forgot the roof for lol
I really enjoyed all of your work! Congratulations on the gold for the truck, loved the Chevy with the surfboard on top, and I really liked your little bus with the boards on top too. Will you be going to the Fremont show in November? I'd love to put a face to a name if you are, I am planning to be there.
@@scaleffectThank you for the kind words! As for the Fremont show, I will not be there. Goodguys in Pleasanton is that weekend and I will be showing my models there. Im sure we will run into each other at some point.
Awesome video and we’re so glad you liked our inaugural effort at an open judging format. On behalf of IPMS Santa Rosa a very big congrats to you for all FOUR of the medals you earned, including the silver for your beautiful GP3 Mustang. We have quickly confirmed that your Mustang was indeed awarded a silver medal award. We did have a few instances where medals got accidentally knocked off the table including the heavily populated tables for the car models as you mention in your video. That must have been what happened to yours. No worries we will be in contact shortly and be mailing you the additional silver medal you justly deserve.
@JamesMorando thanks for checking out the video and putting on a great show! No worries on the medal, it's no big deal at all to me. Chris kindly reached out and we had a great chat and he's going to get it in the mail. Very kind of your club. Looking forward to next year!
Bryce is one of Mt. Diablos youngest modelers! He was so excited to win!!! Fun fact he did all the airbrushing by himself, mom and dad only had to help make sure he didn't spill the paint haha.
@@kirstinmoore9343 that is awesome! Loved his enthusiasm and his TIE fighters were great. I was sitting with several friends when his name was called and we all laughed and laughed, it was cool to see how excited he was!

Thanks for a great show! It was my first time judging a model show and it helped to understand what it takes to build a better model.
