@@kevinkliegl9315 Yes, the best two cartoon themes ever. I personally think JQ was superior in the theme, but what FF lacked in theme by comparison, it made up so much by the fact we loved them so much. JQ, unfortunately, would more or less had no history, and was pretty much confined to just that one season, whereas FF had a much longer history. While I loved JQ on quite a few levels, I'm curious if I would've bought a JQ comic if Marvel made it after the tv series, and it had great artists involved? I probably would just on the strength of such artists, but if it had mediocre artists, I wouldn't buy it probably. The artwork on the video cartoon was great though. Just a cursory glance, makes it look like the artist on FF and JQ was the same guy, or really close. I think any Hanna/Barbera products were always using the same artist on hero type cartoons, because they all seemed to look alike, such as Herculoids and Space Ghost too.

A Saturday morning included pajamas, a bowl of sugared cereal (which generally meant fussing over who gets the toy prize inside) and plopping down in front of a wood-covered, console TV for hours in the living room, interrupted ONLY by the sound of other kids playing outside.

We grew up reading those comic books as well so being able to watch the cartoons on Saturday morning was an extra special treat. Back in the early 70s we still had B&W TV and 2 channels on the TV. TV signals were still broadcast locally though that huge aluminum antennas on rooftops. It was a pretty nifty time to grow up too as we had no internet at the time and no cable. Riding our bikes to the local pond and playing with classmates after school was our main source of entertainment back then....
