    Hela in Senua’s Sacrifice looks pretty accurate from a mythological standpoint. Unlike in the movies, she’s Loki’s daughter with a giantess (so big makes sense), and she’s half rotting corpse. The only thing they really altered is that her living half is supposed to be beautiful, or at least normal-looking. Not that I’m complaining, though, she looks scary and awesome.

    • @snodog00
      @snodog00 Год назад +6

      @Ajehy yeah.... Duke skip actually isn't very easy to pull off. It requires precise movements, timing, and jumping. It's easier to eat the death and rez in the cage. I mean, if you really hate running to a boss door so much, you can try, but it took me a good 20-30 tries before I lucked into getting it and another 10-15 to understand the timing and movements.
      First you have to ride the elevator to the top. Then you have to send the elevator back down and jump onto the side rails of the elevator while its beginning to descend because you're usually not allowed to get onto them normally. Then you have to get into the corner and wait for a very specific spot to jump off and land on a platform in the library which is very easy to miss either landing on or timing the jump. If you do, you'll fall, most likely to your death, if not a substantial amount of health damage.
      Just eat the death and run through the mobs. It's way easier. Its just not FASTER which is why speedrunners do it. Unless they've found an easier way in the past few years since I stopped following DS1 speedruns, it's a massive pain.

      You kidding right ? The E.M.M.I.s are absolutely borring.
      Even worse, the first encounter with one have you realize from the start that those can be killed and as a result, every new encounter with a E.M.M.I is less threatening because it just becomes easier and easier to avoid then destroy them.
      And even worse, if you have already played a game with an ennemy of this kind, the kind that follows you around and you cannot kill, especially if it was done better in a better game, randomly example, Metroid Fusion, the E.M.M.I.s really just feel like big easily avoidable robots.

      At first, @@MrLednard þe E.M.M.I. are terrifying, especially on þe first play þrough, but on oþer play þroughs, þey become easier to deal wiþ. Plus, I've actually played dread, and þe E.M.M.I. often scare me shitless. Every time I go near a door, þe robot near instantly jumpscares me and boom, dead. Yes þe E.M.M.I. can be killed, but not wiþin þirty seconds of þe first encounter (minus þe damaged one, it's barely a þreat). Þe E.M.M.I. follow you near relentlessly and are actually invincible until you get þe omega cannon. Þe SA-X is actually defeatable, and if you rack up enough damage, she just stops, plus þe chase A.I. is very crappy. Have you tried getting þrough an E.M.M.I. on dread mode wiþout a single deaþ? It's harder þan diamonds. A single scratch is enough to kill you, þe E.M.M.I. can take more damage þan a Leaman Russ tank (lol, 40K referance). Or maybe you're just a crazy good speed runner who was traumatised by þe SA-X as a kid. I don't play MD enough to find every sequence break or abuse þe E.M.M.I.'s programming, because I happen to not be terminally online. Play Metroid Dread on a new game wiþ dread mode, clear it, þen tell me how easy þe notably hard game is, and flaunt your inability go outside and to interact wiþ oþers. Sounds depressing. Maybe try þinking before posting. By þe way, it's spelt E-N-E-M-Y not E-N-N-E-M-Y.

Unless it’s because of how often I have to fight it. Calamity on the other hand, has 2 cutscenes and a memory showing home “powerful” it is. The Elder One in _DA:I_ was also an absolute nightmare for me. I always play on the hardest or second hardest difficulties in games, but I eventually had to concede defeat and lower the difficulty a little just to get to the final round of destroying that piece of shit. I wound up with just one mage still conscious, cowering in fear behind any bit of cover I could find, darting out only to aim a spell at his face. And that took three hours and a ragequit.

      I honestly preferred the Archdemon to the Broodmother. That is a boss I definitely dread having to face (it's not difficult really, I just dread it, especially with Hespith's creepy rhyme). And I only get those vibes with the one from the main game, not even from the Mother in the Awakening DLC and she's nuttier than squirrel poo.

    The first boss from Resident Evil: Revelations was a HUGE source of apprehension for me. Hearing "Mayday...MAYDAY. This is the Queen Zenobia..." over and over again made me really nervous to see what was making the announcement, and the creepy voice really sold it for me. Extra horrifying once you realize that the victim is still conscious enough inside the monster to plead to be rescued...

      He's also large enough to fill up the screen, uncomfortably fast, and has an instant-kill grab. The first time I fought him, I hadn't even picked up the rifle from the solarium - I just had to make do with a basic pistol and shotgun.
      The whole "don't shoot, I'm human" thing was an unsettling touch, too. Resident Evil doesn't seem to do that much outside of the Revelations games.

    The Shadow/Mirror Image from the very first Prince of Persia game. You are to face yourself in combat, after being shadowed and maliciously thwarted for several levels of the game. That one was the first ever boss fight I remember and it was such a cool concept, especially in a game where 99% of the sword fight were pretty easy. And then there is suddenly an enemy, who knows all your moves.

      @@amineelyoussoufi4371 that is every rpg for me. And even some action games that allow you to upgrade or level up. Do every side quest/ objective. Become completely overpowered. Wreck the main story when I finally get around to it. I realize it's my own fault because of my playstyle, but it would be nice if more games would adopt a difficulty scale dependent upon your level. I play games at normal difficulty, and only any harder if it's a series I'm excellent at, like gears of war. I can't just ratchet up the difficulty to get around this issue, because as much as I love games, I'm far from great at them. So in a lot of games I'm stuck between way too easy or way too hard. But like I said, my playstyle, my fault.
