Thanks for this. This was one of the most useful videos on this subject. It's still a real struggle if nobody has done it in 30 years, but it makes a big difference. Right now, the last one of the four won't fully slide into the locked position 😤

IMPORTANT POINT:ON MY BMW e36 CABRIOLET 1996, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE LOCKING BAR BY LOOKING IN THE HOLE. YOU HAVE TO INSERT A 90DEGREE ANGLED PICK TO PUSH THE BAR TO UNLOCK AND PULL BACK TO LOCK IT. YOU ARE WORKING BLINDFOLDED. JUST SLIDE YOUR INSTRUMENT ON THE METAL FLANGE ATTACHED TO THE HOLE AND YOU WILL FEEL YOUR INSTRUMENT SUDDENLY FALLING IN THE GAP AT THE END OF THE METAL FLANGE. YOU ARE NOW LOCATED IN FRONT OF THE LEVER . PUSH THE LEVER FORWARD TO UNLOCK. IT IS EASIER THAN IT LOOKS! Thank you for your video! By removing the entire door handle mechanism, it is easier to understand and locate the lever.

Is gaskets e32, E34, E36 are the same?

I think so but I’d verify part numbers on Realoem.com
