    The 9th rocket (Long March 2F - 62m) is missing from the compilation (due to copyright issues)
    As for the height of the rockets, well... Wikipedia is not enough, the data were collected from various sources.

    The rocket at 3:06 was a Commercial Titan III delivering the Mars Observer probe. Although based on the design of the 34D.

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  6 лет назад +2

      Tramseskumbanan Yes you're right...I coudn't find any footage of a Titan 34D launch, that why I used the TItan III....but as you say, Titan III and Titan 34D are very close in design.

    • @Tramseskumbanan
      @Tramseskumbanan 6 лет назад

      Here are a few short clips (apart from the 34D-9 explosion).
      Unfortunately they are only a few seconds long so you only see the lift-off.

    • @Tramseskumbanan
      @Tramseskumbanan 6 лет назад +1

      I understand.
      I think maybe Lockheed or maybe the USAF-museum has some clips of IIID and 34D launces.
      Btw, the CTIII's proper name should be: Commercial Titan 34D.
      The final flight of the real III-series was in back in 1982.

  • @maruishi123
    @maruishi123 3 года назад +5

    Where are the Japanese H2A rockets?
    H2A and H2B are different rockets.
    Also, H2B does not have type 304.
    The model name of the Japanese rocket is given only when a derivative type exists.
    H2B has no derived type, so there is no type name.
    Even if it is attached, the number of the model name is 204 because the first number is the number of stages, the second number is the number of liquid boosters, and the last number is the number of solid rocket boosters.

    Quick question why isn’t the titan IIIE Centaur here just asking

    • @numbersstationsarchive194
      @numbersstationsarchive194 5 лет назад +1

      Titan IIIE's Centaur stage was enclosed within the fairing, it was moreorless the same height as the other Titan III-derived launchers.

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  4 года назад +1

      Because it is in the same rocket familly as the Titan 34D rocket, and Titan 34D is taller.

      Most of the footage is old footage. Also, I showed the tallest version of each rocket, so the footage is hard to get because those talles version of each rocket maybe flew just once. Also, I picked videos from the public domain, because of copyright issues.

    The N1 seems like it should only half count since it never flew successfully and blew up shortly after launch for every single attempt.

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  6 лет назад +1

      Joshua Zelinsky Do you know how hard it is to design and build a rocket? N1 was built and launched.... it wasn't successful, but if the Soviets keep on trying it woulded have been successful. If it was launched then it deserves a place in this TOP.

    • @joshuazelinsky5213
      @joshuazelinsky5213 6 лет назад +1

      Sure, even building it was very impressive. And I agree that if the Soviets had kept at it the N1 would have had all its kinks ironed out. But it does still seem unfair to the others in the list who were more successful at almost as large.

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  6 лет назад +1

      Joshua Zelinsky Yeah, I see your point....it's hard to make a compromise :) everybody has his own opinion (If I had omitted the N1 from this list, then the Russians would have said that I am pro USA or "racist"). Hope you understand the decision I made.
