This has made me so nostalgic. I went there from 2018-2021 & I also enjoyed the party scene in 2016-2017 before I transferred. It’s wild that your video is from Feb 2020 right before everything. I miss Rutgers so much and I sometimes wish I could rewind the clock and appreciate the fun times more 🥺😭♥️
yessss another tour!! i love your videos, especially the Rutgers ones 💕. i applied regular decision and the results come out soon, hopefully i'll be a Knight too 😄
Damn, I had the option to choose the yard because of my lotto number but chose livi apartments instead. Main reason was I have no classes on college ave and traffic after 4pm on college ave is terrible. But those appliances and full sized bed, oof.
I love your videos/vlogs!! I live in Texas but I’m from Pennsylvania and I miss the East Coast so much. I visited Rutgers one time when I was younger and I liked it! I also know that the butler from Jessie used to go there hahah. ❤️
@@chrisv2359 yeah the yard usually is filled up by mid-day on the first day of selection. My group selected a spot in the morning of the first day of selection then like 5-6 hrs later all yard spots were gone
It's not guaranteed. U or someone that you will share the apartment with still need a relatively low number. But it's not extremely difficult as a junior, senior.
Hey I am considering Rutgers and I just have a question. Do freshmen have a choice whether or not they want to dorm? I want to go but I have an apartment I share with my bf already.
@@fatimeawede177 at rutgers you go through the lottery for all on campus residential dorms. you are given a random number. this random number and what class you are in determine the priority you get when selecting dorms. senior class; low number is the best for the yard. It's hard, but not extremely hard to get into senior year.
freshman cannot live in these apartments, only continuing students. juniors and seniors can live here but even juniors have a hard time because of seniority points and the lottery number. example, last year, it required 16 seniority points or 4 seniors, with a lottery number as close to 1 as possible, like at max 1000 to get these apartments
Freshmen can’t live in any on campus apartments. These apartments in particular are really only for seniors bc you need full seniority points and a really good lotto number to get a spot at these
juniors and seniors can only get these apartments. there’s a lottery system where you sign up and get an email a week later with a random number. seniority points also count, which is basically one point for how long you’ve been at rutgers. example, last year, it required 16 seniority points or 4 seniors, with a lottery number as close to 1 as possible to at max 1000 to get these apartments. lottery numbers closer to for example 10K get a much lower chance at getting it
Ok Rutgers with the luxury student apartments

Do transfer students that are Juniors have the opportunity to live in the apartments?
No it’s based on seniority so these apartments close up fast to mostly seniors unfortunately (Current RU student BTW)
It really just depends on your lottery number, people also sell their lottery numbers.
