HI, great video, but question... I had my door/locks installed about 12 yrs ago, and my handles are now "drooping" - hanging down a bit.. is there anyway to tighten just the handles?
Awesome Video! I tuned in to see how to remove it but now I know that this assembly is top notch. Is it possible to buy a cylinder that takes Schlage keys?
i installed an Em D Kay mortise lockset. cannot get the deadbolt to open/close. the internal cam doesnt seem to make contact with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi, great video! I have more knowledge on how to install this type of lock! I do have a question on where to purchase this lock guard since mine doesn't come with one. Thanks!
Hello, I did give you a thumbs up And I am not trying to knock your Instalation but From what I can see your entire Installation is up-side down from Every Mortised Lock I have ever installed (a handful of examples, names Like; Schlage, Falcon, Sargent, Baldwin, Rocky Mountain etc...). I am not sure as to why the Lock box is designed like this (the Lever over the Cylinder)... Greg
Pointy Side Down... these levers are handed, any put in wrong, are awkward ! They make a plate trim set for a model with a thumbturn on inside plate. NEVER USE A MORTISE THUMBTURN on inside. IT can jam up
Your entire lock assembly is upside down. The lock should be on the top, and the handle on the bottom. That is why your lock keyway appears to be upside down. Also, NEVER use WD-40 in a lock a a luricant. Use a lock lubricant such as Houdini. Petroleum products should never be used in any lock. It attracks dirt that can cause premataure failure.
This is the best instructional video for removing/installing Marks Lock, very helpful for a handyman/dad. Thank you.
I don't know if you'll see this but you saved my ass! Thanks for the video got it installed and saved 300 bucks from a locksmith doing it

Or Green lock body.... I think they changed colors to designate newer from older.

Where can I find a lock guard for an iron door that wasn't originally equipped with one?

Hi Rob! Yes, you can substitute the cylinders with a Schlage (C Keyway) type.
Hi Rob,
Do you know if In Home Depot or Lowe’s I can find the Schlage C Keyway type locks set to use in a Marks setup?

Excellent video! Thanks!!!
Nice video! Is there a smart lock substutute for this lock?
Electric Strike HES. trench wire, or solar panel, batteries etc.
These are so hard to find in the stores
Thx for the video, how does Marks, quality wise, stack up against Best or Medico for durability?
Medeco and Best do not offer an ornamental iron gate lock. Only marks and a bunch of no name knockoffs.
