來聽師父聊聊 自證自救 --師父說

師父說佛經上講得很清楚啊
The master said, "The Buddhist scriptures are very clear.
你念經 你得七
When you recite the sutras, you gain seven-tenths of merit,
你迴向的 對方只有得到三而已
but the recipient gets only three-tenths.
所以師父說懶惰沒有用
So, the master said that being lazy is useless.
師父說
你們以為等到自己往生了
You think that when you pass away,
然後這個法師很厲害
you can rely on a powerful monk,
這個道士很好
or a virtuous Taoist priest,
這個出家師父非常好很有證量
or a highly accomplished master to save you.
請他們來幫我
ask them to help you.
或者破瓦法也是很棒的法門
Or you think methods like Phowa (transference of consciousness at death) are great practices.
但是為什麼你們活著的時候不好好靠自己呢
But why don't you rely on yourself while you are alive?
師父說
The master continued,
你們就在活著的時候
"While you are alive,
就想要賺錢
you want to make money,
想要事業想要伴侶
build a career, find a partner,
想要吃好吃的想要享受
eat delicious food, enjoy life,
想要戴好的睡好的
Wear good jewelry, sleep well,
穿好的
wear good clothes
養好的寵物 貴的寵物 有品牌的寵物
and keep expensive pedigree pets.
但是有很多流浪的毛孩很可憐阿
But many stray animals are suffering.
但是你們卻嫌 不夠可愛
But you don't feel them cute enough;
想要養有品牌的 貴的 16萬也沒有關係
就是想要養有品牌的
you want to keep purebred, expensive pets.
Spending sixteen thousand is fine with you as long as it's a pedigree pet.
這個幾萬塊可以幫助更多的毛小孩
也是可以幫助放生
That money could help many stray animals and also support life release practices (liberating animals).
可以做許多的事情
There are many things you could do.
可是弟子們活著的時候就去忙這些瑣事
But you disciples, while alive, busy yourselves with trivial matters.
所以你母親的偏執
貪嗔癡慢疑
懷疑傲慢不相信你講的等等
So your mother's biases, attachment, greed, anger, ignorance, pride, and doubt, not believing what you say, etc.,
師父沒有要批判的意思
are not meant to be criticized by the master.
畢竟這種眾生占了百分之99.9999999
After all, such beings make up ninety-nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine percent of the population,
然後你是他身邊的百分之0.00000001
and you are the zero point zero zero zero zero zero zero zero one percent around her.
所以你當然無法說服她阿
So, of course, you cannot convince her.
你的母親希望當朋友問起你在做什麼
Your mother hopes that when friends ask what you are doing,
他可以回答你再多有名的大公司工作
she can answer that you work in a famous big company,
我的兒子在哪一間大銀行上班
or that her son works at a major bank,
我兒子要出來選立委
or that her son is running for legislator.
（師父說:那不行啦!）
（Master said: That's pretty bad idea ……）
大部分的父母都希望小孩子是這樣子的
Most parents want their children to be like that.
所以這樣的父母就被這樣的社會世俗給感染給說服
Such parents are influenced and persuaded by worldly values.
