Walking
Waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping
And hating
Things that I can't bear
Did you think it's cool
To walk right up
To take my life
And fuck it up
Well did you?
Well did you?
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
Walking
Waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping
And hating
Things that I can't bear
Did you think it's cool
To walk right up
To take my life
And fuck it up
Well did you?
I hate you
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
And touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I've slept so long without you
It's tearing me apart too
How'd it get this far
Playing games with this old heart
I've killed a million petty souls
But I couldn't kill you
I've slept so long without you
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I see hell in your eyes

Who is still here 2024?
Right now!! 😂❤
yesterday, today and always
Now and forever 🖤
🇧🇷🇧🇷
I just discovered this soundtrack...oh my God!!
this whole album is so erotic to me. I still watch this movie religiously.
Alexandria Diaz this soundtrack has to be one of the best out there. not only is the movie amazing but the soundtrack is as well.
Watch it once each year since the day it came out. (Doing the same with Fight club and the LOTR trilogy)
@Zombie Mimikyu Yep just cannot ignore the books. "Interview with a vampire" is my favourite though, but the movie kinda sucked.
SAME
Alexandria Diaz not a bad movie ..Book was waaaaay better ..
1st film was better also ..
But the Queen was erotically scary !
i thought it was just me but apparently a lot of people were into this album and movie. love it
Yeah, I thought it was just me, too... Glad it isn't. :)
It was huge back in the day because of Aaliyah she was an up and coming singer as well and she died before this came out tragically. I came back here today because of a rabbit hole. I was searching the Band Orgy out , They did a great cover of the song Blue Monday it was a remake from an 80s song and hard industrial sounding. Then Wiki Amir Derakh and find out that members of that band made the soundtrack for the movie today , Mind blown , Then find out they were tied to Chester of Lincoln Park fame working with them . Mind gone.
I had this cd back in middle school and would skate to school with it in my backpack. Had the anti skip feature on it. Good times. This album still kicks ass
Best sex album for sure lol ❤🎉
The musical score for this movie is what made the entire movie
I missed when horror movies had rock and Metal soundtracks
lil danny preach
lil danny psssft shit. I miss when movies had soundtracks PERIOD lol
SAAAME.
Right!? Freddy vs. jason & House Of Wax had some pretty dope soundtracks too!👌
American Satan isn't bad at all
I really wish there were more vampire movies done in this style. You know, with the traditional gothic romance themes and what not. Where vampires are beautiful, alluring creatures, but terribly frightening and monstrous in their own right.
+DestineyTot so right
+DestineyTot you know whats truly terrifying a Marine and his rifle
+Jacob Clay no one gives a fuck
+Rogelio Mendoza we all do mexicano
that would be so cool, I mean this movie was okay in and of itself but I really loved the style they used when making it, it was dark and mysterious and really evil but kindve attractive because of that
When I was 16 I was an extra in this movie and spent 12 hours from 6pm until 6am in a dusty abandoned quarry filming the scene that went with this song. It was one of the longest, coldest nights of my life but I’ll never forget it, or getting to see Aaliyah in person. As one person said at the time...”fun in retrospect, not in practice”. I must have screamed along to this track about a hundred times that night.
+Rebecca Dunne Lucky you! I wish I was there with you and all of the other extras, and I would've met the actors & actresses in person. But nope. I was born 3 years after this film came out :(
Woow no mater how cold it was, now it probably feels worm 🤘😎😍😜
U Lucky 😍
Wow thats awesome I wish could of been there!
Lucky one ...
How amazing! Have you ever spotted yourself in the scene afterwards? I can never NOT watch this movie without watching all and every behind the scenes, goofs and reels, especially the crowd and Stuart himself chanting along and screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs, it must have been a mix of hell and magic that night and amazing to look back at- such a cool experience to look back at and to have seen one of the last works of sweet Aaliyah 🖤
I listened to the Jonathan Davis one and it doesn’t compare to this one at all! the way jay Gordon sounds on this song still gives me goosebumps in 2023❤
Jay Gordan was the best pick. Even though Orgy split, Jay’s voice is still awesome and I can’t say speak enough about Punk Static Paranoia.
@@SarahRegina29 Did you know that Orgy is still around putting out new music? I mean, Jay's the only original member, but still.
That's so funny b/c I feel the same about System with Jonathan Davis. The Chester Bennington version was amazing. But there's just something about Jonathan's voice with THAT song that puts it over the top for me. That said, Jay's version was definitely better for this one!
@@miss2000varietyshowthat's so inaccurate omg
18 years later and Slept So Long's intro still bumps my goose and gives me the stink face. *DUN DUN DUN.* walking. *DDUN DUN DUN.* waiting *DUN UDN DUN*
Sameeeee, got them right now! Love that this song does this after so long
Same ❤21 years later 🙌🏾
Aaliyah will be remembered in heart
Indeed. Such a shame what happened. And her and Jonathan Davis had just become really good friends and we're going to work together. They were fans of each other.
Yea same
She is a very good person!
2020 anyone? nostalgic times... when rock, vampires, and simplicity was valued more then complexity. What happened...
You must have been born post 2000 but yes of course....
when you realize that Taco bell's slogan is LIVE MAS... which backwards says... SAM EVIL... meaning.. that uncle sam's american version of mexican tacos are garbage... Then yes... this is year 2020
Sadly, they don't make music like this. This whole soundtrack is fucking amazingly sexy!
The world went to hell in a handbasket and not the way wed all hoped
@@weareone7315 This absolutely made me laugh my way out of the foul mood I was in!
Jay Gordon of the band Orgy. Early 2000s was a beautiful time for metal music.
Agree
Please come back this style of metal. I beg thee
Nope
Orgy is not a metal band, but orgy is amazing lol
Puhlease.
This song makes me feel a certain way and gives me butterflies. Then it makes me want to walk the way Aaliyah did in the movie, her entrance. I always wanted to be/walk/look like her when I was a little girl
Kelsey Cordero meee toooo
Kelsey Cordero Yeah, I saw her as some sort of goddess. XD Crush-like.
Sameee
She's mine girl crush for life
Same she walked in the club like a true bad bitch
Did you know it was originally Korn who was supposed to do the vocals for the sound track for Queen of the Damned, but Sony wouldn't let them, so Korn went out and hired his close friends in other bands to play it in his own style and close to his voice.
alex klukas lestats final vocal scorings in the movie was a very skill full mixture of all the artists together to create lestats voice John scored and wrote all music for it but the original palm was to create lestats unique vocals using some of the best and unique vocals in that industry and genre
Always wondered. Thanks for clearing that up!
alex klukas I think the movie is better for it.
Great info. Thanks for sharing this.
See, now I just want to hear Johnathon Davis growl the fuck of out this track.
still bumping to this in 2017 anybody?
Jessika Toops Hell Yeah!! 👍
Marik Kishin yep 2017
Jessika Toops always will this song and music but part off me
Always.
It's even better when you have the CD and DVD.
Jay was such an underrated singer. Been listening to this song since I was 18....almost 20 years now.
Your absolutely right
Same 20 years ago ahhahahahhahahahah
@gh0st That is tremendous.
My favorite song from the entire movie and an apt description of Lestat.
Ash Angel I love this version by Jay Gordon. I don’t like Jonathan Davis’ version in the film. Jay Gordon’s voice is so much better suited to the feel of this song. It’s my fave on the soundtrack!
Jon does a more demonic take on it. Its nice to see the pretty boy Lestat in the movie lip sing this!
2024 anyone??❤
Yup
I literally can't stop...blasting on the interstate on the way home along with forsaken and system
🎉
Does anybody else wish they could have been there in the recording studio when Johnathan got all the top Nu-metal artists together to sing their own versions of an album he had himself produced and sung, the fact that there are two versions to every song in this movie just makes me happy asf...and that each song was then redone with an artist from every band I loved as a teenager...
It's heartbreaking to know we'll never get to hear them reprise these songs as few are still going and few are sadly gone :( I miss when horrors used metal and original music
It has this strange sense of vulnerability and desperation within. So dark yet so aesthetic.
It toes the line of rage/invigoration
i JUST watched this movie for the first time and HOLY SHIT.... I'm obsessed with the soundtrack.
If you like the soundtrack to this movie, you might like the music I make. :) Ill drop you a link to my bandcamp, you can stream all of my music for free, see if you find something you like. I hope this reaches you well today man. celladoor.bandcamp.com/

This whole soundtrack, one of the most under rated collaborations of all time
💯

Probably one the greatest soundtracks of all time.
I 100% agree with you man. If you are looking for music in a similar vein, you might like some of what I do. :) Particularly my 3rd album temple but probably 'Gnosis' too. The music off this movie had a massive impact on me and definitely inspired a lot of my sound. celladoor.bandcamp.com/
Yes
Oh yes!!
Jonathan Davis from Korn did a amazing job on wrighting these songs and picking other people to sign them on the soundtrack. one of my fav movies still to this day
Aaliyah was such a Queen and the perfect actress for Akasha R.I.P Queen Aaliyah you were made for this role and you are the Queen of the Damned !!such an amazing song soundtrack and movie!!R.I.P Chester and Aaliyah!!❤☠💀🧟♂️🧛🧛♀️😢
Her bday today. Akasha is a sky goddess of Egypt but you know Hollywood had to demonize her, they could've used a different name. 🖤
So sad she didn't get to make a track for queen of the damned when she was supposed to 😢
Literally just replayed 5 times...
It's hypnotic for sure
THIS SONG IS THE HARDEST SONG ON THAT WHOLE SOUNDTRACK. FROM BEGINNING TO END. MY GODDDDD 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Indeed, I love it so much, which I could find it on Spotify too
This song makes me feel alive 😍😍
It makes me die inside 😎

The chorus is everything!!
This song and Forsaken both made my late night\overnight road trip playlist. Nothing like blasting through the mountains at night on a motorcycle. The temperature changing with ever change in elevation and curve in the road.
Jay Gordon version is my favorite! 🥰😍🥰
Still...one of the best soundtracks....ever...
Watching Queen of the Damned right now!!
2018 still crazy to this song 💃💃💃💃💃
Same here
This soundtrack changed my life forever when I was a kid and it's still just as magical as it was then.
lestat BODIED this performance before Aaliyah took him home for the 😻😂

So many years have passed and it's still in my top 10 search of songs..
As a jazz fan, I had never listened to death metal until I began using this movie for Comparative Culture classes here in Japanese universities. The college kids here really got into it, especially after I had prepped them for how to deconstruct the movie by connecting the character types to what is happening in modern Japanese society. The movie is criminally underrated ... and I came to really like the sound track.
definitely not death metal but yes 🙌
@@patrickforstner8548 Hi Patrick. Thanks for the comment. Not a vampire myself, I am aging really fast and can't keep up with the emerging genres of music. I grew up in North Carolina, surrounded by people who liked 'both kinds of music .... country AND western'. 🤣 Just wonderng what the bulk of this sound track would be called. Goth? Cheers from Japan.
@@stevemartin4249 from like 1998 to 2007 nu metal was pretty big. This movie came out smack in the middle and this song as well down with the sickness that was playing at the start of the scene would be considered nu metal/alt metal. Death metal would be like cannibal corpse or dying fetus and the difference is quite clear.
Fun fact. Cannibal corpse was featured in ace Ventura. Hammer smashed face. :)
@@WavveBoi Thanks for the heads up Hampy. As a prog rock (early Yes) and jazz fan, I grew up in rural North Carolina, surrounded by family members said they liked 'both kinds of music ... country AND western'. 🤣 Now there are so many sub-genres, I am completely lost ... and just go back to that Duke Ellington quote ... 'There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other stuff.' Queen of the Damned had some pretty good music in it. Nu Metal? Will have to study up on that. Thanks again, and cheers from Japan.
@@stevemartin4249 the soundtrack was composed by Jonathan Davis, the lead singer of Korn. Korn is basically the quintessential nu metal band who founded the genre. All other nu metal artists are bands influenced by them. Their music was very unique and caused a whole wave in the metal scene
I was a kid when I watched the movie for the first time, and now I’m 25
The movie definitely formed my music taste and gave me Deftones (always in my playlist)
I’m so grateful and so sad that there’re no such soundtracks today that could make you fall in love with such kind of music
If I ever write a horror film I guarantee it will have heavy, industrial and nu-metal on the soundtrack. I've been writing a book for a while based on cryptid werewolves like the dogman and special ops contractors fighting it out in the Appalachian mountains for survival. It's pretty graphic as far as blood, violence and language.
I’m looking forward to seeing it on Screen. 2024.
Bro action horror movie about soldiers vs Dogmen gonna be lit!
You sound like me. I dig werewolves. Wrote a few books about them myself
Reminds me of the Movie Dog Soldiers .
I see hell in your eyes!!
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
oh yeaa
Man, Jay Gordon and Orgy are underrated. Love the soundtrack for featuring my fav guest vocalists Wayne, Chester (Rock In Peace to both), David, and Jay. Marilyn Manson did well in Redeemer and this coming from a non-fan. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Lyrics
Walking, waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping and hating
With things I can't bare
Did you think it's cool
To walk right up to take my life and fuck it up
Well, did you, well, did you?
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
Walking, waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping and hating
With things I can't bare
Did you think it's cool
To walk right up to take my life and fuck it up
Well, did you, well, did you?
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I've slept so long without you
It's tearing me apart
Till how to get this far playing games
With fist held cards
I've killed a million pity souls
But I can kill you
I've slept so long without you
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I see hell in your eyes

Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside

This is my favourite movie, one of them. Watched it more than 30 times, not sure how many exactly. Love the set, the cast, the performance, the music and the bands, and since I remember myself I am big fans of vampires, write stories by myself, pain them... This is just one of these stories you always come back to it. And of course makes you think about life, many hidden sicrets to think about, while watching. I am totaly in love with the whole conception and there really must be more movies like this. It is masterpiece!
