Your thumb was entirely too close to that blade for my comfort *cue heart palpitations* Beautiful job though, seems like you’ve had plenty of experience. Amazingly steady hands. I be look forward to seeing more!❤
We already do… there are tons of applications for this already AND you already have devices using this very technology in your home. Look it up if you need examples but this is not new science by any means. When a quartz crystal is compressed it releases electricity. Granite does too due to high concentration of quartz… and so on… If you take a large enough crystal you can even light some LEDs with it or run a little fan off of it.
yes, we already do. Most bbq lighter have a quartz crystal that creates the spark to ignite the gas and make a flame. Also older digital watches used a quartz crystal. Quartz also vibrates when an electrical charge is applied. It vibrates at a specific rate that can thus be used a measurement for time since mechanical watches tend to offset overtime due to it being.. well.. mechanical

Many stones i work have theses affects when cutting them .
Think we’ll ever be able to harness energy from crystals?
Well, they don't have energy of themselves
You need to put your own energy in order to generate these sparks
Like you do in a gas lighter
Maybe?
