Thank you so much for posting this video!!!!!! I have eaten these little peppers and they are DELICIOUS!!!!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😋😋😋😋 Can’t wait to get a plant started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I want to grow them in a container outside then how big does the pot or felt bag need to be? 3 gallon, 5 gallon? larger or small? Also, what kind of soil type?
Thank you. Do you do any trimming methods when it is young to produce more? Also, I get some seeds from a green shishito pepper. Is it ok to germinate?
Hundreds of berries on a couple Shishito plants that ripen to red but don't elongate one in sun the other reaching from a cinderbox fence. lots of advice about blooms and fruit and water, not finding that one. All I can think of is more sun hours? At least I've got all the seed in the world because each is loaded with them plus the fruit is hot as hell condensed.
I am one of those people who had a hard time with bell peppers, so now I'm sold on trying our shashitos next summer! My only question is i don't know where to buy the plant, because I don't know if my local nursery will carry it.
I can't get over your emphasis over and over of Shishitos mispronunciation. You keep saying Sha-shi-to, there is no SHA in proper pronunciation, it is simply SHI. Shishi means lion, It is a Japanese word/pepper in case you didn't know, the least one can do is respect the culture it comes from and try to pronounce it correctly rather the over emphasis and reiterate its mispronunciation. Thanks =D

Glad you like them!
I’m germinating 20 seeds now. Wish me luck 😂
This pepper is pronounced she she toe. I lived in Japan 8 years and was married to a Japanese man. We ate these often.
Thanks, Linda. I was going to make that same observation. It is not pedantic. It shows respect for other languages and cultures.
@@kevinadams9468 gyro is pronounced gyro not gyro
great video! thanks Nicole!

Nice, I heard it's good producer.
I want to crops like tomatoes, okra peppers lettuce etc
So, pick them green? What are they like when they're ripe?
They can be very spicy. They do have a sweet flavor though.
Where do you get your cages?

Avoid the red ones they are hot.

You can buy seeds on Amazon.
@@Emibri211 thank you! I just found the seeds at home depot, organic ones, so glad!
You should try growing some mini bell peppers much easier than the full size ones and the same great taste
Late but I just saw these at Trader Joe’s yesterday. Not seeds or plants but just fresh whole for cooking.
I find shishitos to be essentially finger sized bell peppers. Plus I don't have to add cayenne if I use enough of them
Hi, just a critique of your sound.
I can hear the rustling of feet from the camera person, more than I can hear you.
Great video though.
Say it with me: Jaw-Le-Peen-O.
