The one thing that DUS showed that the pick/ban rules makes the games way more interesting and also brings out the weaknesses in each player's fundamentals as they are usually starved off their regular champion pool. I think RIOT should really look into implementing some sort of a variant of this in competitive play as now it's just the same 10-15 champions rotating depending on Pick side, which makes it really stale and boring to watch.

Then take jungle : Wukong/Nocturne, Moa, Sejuani, Vi, Poppy. Again, about 4-5. Mid : Azir, Trist, Annie, Syndra, Lissandra, Leblanc (4-5). Adc, which is the role with the most restricted roster still has like Aphelios, Xayah, Draven, Kaisa (4-5). Support is no exception: Nautilus, Rakan, Braum, Rell, Alistar. Those are all picks that tend to be contested/considered like you can't tell me the champ pool is 10-15 that's just delusion.
The only thing bad going for L5 team is that they cant play their mains every game. if they could sion/heca/velkoz everygame it would be quite a bit closer to their opponents then it was now
