I’m anxious to see your space after you get the Alex cabinets set up. I’m considering getting two of them - the taller ones. I want to use one of them for my regular sewing thread and my serger cone thread. I think your idea is really good. The change it will make is worth the cost. You’ll have storage as well as more table (work) space. I enjoy your podcasts. Thanks
Always take those machine operations lessons after the purchase from the dealer and go through the manual page by page at home. I cannot tell you how many times students will tell me they never knew something about their machine that was explained in the manual if they read it.
helloSteven, My name is Toni / I have watched many of your videos I own the original 15000 The machine has been upgraded to ruler work. Changed the sewing feet / The horizon software was suppose to be upgraded he never did it . and now hes gone.I have been searching on line to to see if I can find the upgrade but No luck. My question /does Ver 3 have an upgrade also?
No, that is not the problem. That is just like the one I had. I had THREE in one year. I had all the same problems you did, with this version. The problem isn't that because it all happened with this version too. The problem is with the bobbin holder.
I use Ikea in my sewing space too. I have a counter top from Ikea, stretched across 2 Malm dressers. One dresser facing front and the other across the end. Works Great! What I like best is that it is a great working height with lots of space and the counter top is heavy and doesn't bounce around when the sewing machine is on full throttle.
I noticed on a previous episode. You use a 14 needle size. The eye has a bigger hole, which can cause thread breaks. In Australia with embroidery it is recommended to use a size 11. Smaller eye.
Not sure where you saw that but I usually always use a 11 needle and lately for embroidery I have been using Janome Blue Tip needles which are 11 for embroidery
Steven Bland my 15000 does the same thing and I am in agreement that the bobbin case needs to be held down more securely than it is. I am in Australia and today am getting the upgrade to version 3. $453 Australian with all the feet and shank and plate.

Love your videos, Steven! I listen to them while I hand stitch or quilt.
I am glad you like them!

I’ve been following your 15000 saga. May 18 video. 2020. Stated you were using Schmitz floriani 90/14.
@@jenicecurrie4278 May have- I think I was experimenting with that size to see if it would help

I also download a lot of patterns. I love the bags, thanks for the tip!
Flannel, Shrinks. Wash it at least twice, and in the dryer too before using. Don't ask how I know.

That panel will make a great quilt to hang on your front door.
