‪@MarshaandthePositrons‬ are a Washington, DC-based kindie (kids + indie) band specializing in fun, clever songs about science and how the world works with positive social messages!
This song (for ‪@NPR‬ & ‪@nprmusic‬ Tiny Desk Contest) is about starling formations, called murmurations, and makes the connection between starlings teamwork - how they cooperate as a unit - and our own unity, with the message that we can accomplish more when we work together! We combined a Latin jazz vibe with hip hop, showing a musical example of unity by blending different styles and making something better by working together.
