Do you know why harder foods can't be cut/sliced? Could the blades break? I bought this and was hoping it would help with onions, carrots, bell peppers, etc.
Great question. Bell pepper would probably work but not onions or carrots, they are too hard. Plus a little small for those kind of food items. We have a Food Chopper or Manual Food Processor that would work perfectly for them!! Have you seen those products? I use the Manual Food Processor in just about all my cooking videos.

The Mandoline chopper is great for veggies
