I started watching you years ago, stopped, came back as you come to my mind sometimes. I don't comment. I do not watch for the records. I come for the thoughts. I just like to watch how genuine people think. I watched some vinyl videos years ago and because I don't collect vinyl I don't remember any of those channels except for two. I remembered yours. I used to watch vinyl videos just to hear thoughts from genuine people. Sometimes not about music... Just how other artist think of things. I also am a musician.

I think 'Wuivend Riet' is windblown reeds, apparently. Cheers.

I've been listening to Shabaka's catalog. You were right, the new one is utterly different from his early work. It's like the guy started over and recreated facets of his play. No 'butter notes."

I just picked up Watanabe's The Spice of Life LP at a local shop the other day. I didn't realize there was a follow-up release! I'll have to keep a lookout for that one. Cheers!

That new Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars single is the first radio song in a year with key changes and lovely harmonies so absent on contemporary robot radio.

Muddy divorced his first wife and then became the first truly independent recoding artist. Muddy's blues are just better than Blues. His story of farmer hand and record collector, to amplified juke joint superstar is unassailably cool. Plus he had Little Walter, the actual first harmonica soloist in a band. The band's arrangement, with keys and horns, drums, bass, guitar, vocal leads, solos, all of it the blueprint of harmonic modern musics. Muddy is better than the Blues. The Blues blew up because of Northern migration by hard working Black Americans loved records and blues on radio- a nationwide communal experience, possible by home radio. Most blues on radio is corny, or just loud rock.
