I also heard mixed reviews. But at the price I was willing to purchase a Kicker first with the Recoil-Lock and I liked it so much I purchased the Crag. I opted for the carbon fiber variants as I all ready have two other CJRB knives also in carbon fiber. I like this locking system. I own several Benchmades and hate to say it but I prefer the Recoil lock. But to this day I prefer the Demko Sharklock over all others. Great knives if you purchase the one NOT made in China. But at a much higher price unfortunately.
i have a few centros variants, i'm really pleased with cjrb fit and finish on those blades. i was interested in the Crag, i appreciate your review style, so i stopped on in. compared to the sheepdog xl, i feel like liner milling might be a bad thing for this considering how balanced it is. the XL is handle light and i don't seem to have as much rearward control on straight pull cuts as a result. as big as that blade is, i almost wish there was a little more meat in the ass, so to speak.

I love the design so much that I purchased the Crag and Kicker in a carbon fiber laminate with the Recoil-Lock. I really wish however that some American companies would start making budget friendly knives. We have become serious customers when it comes to Chinese made knives. We use to pass on knives made in China. If some American companies would mass produce these type of knives at even $10 more I would support them. I am not afraid to say I hate the fact of liking a knife with made in China or just China anywhere on a knife. Some companies like Buck and Kershaw have proven they can produce quality American made knives in this price range. So why don't they continue doing so? First of all American companies use better grades of steel. We really need to stop supporting non American companies. And I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

Never owned a CJRB... that lock definitely makes me more interested than before.
Rust-O they're nice, serviceable knives for the cost. i bought one centros and then another and another, as they are quite a lot for the price.
