- The weather in London, England right now is freezing. its winter. I had to leave for a warmer destination. I did not expect this in Barbados. I flew Norse Atlantic airways for the first time from London Gatwick Airport To Grantley Adams International Airport in Bridgetown Barbados. The arrival was quite surprising!

That greeting was just for the Norse inaugural flight. This is what they do everytime a new airline visits.
It was like that back in the 90s everyone arriving was meet with a traditional dance and worst if you heard a guest arriving and loved to take pictures from there Kodak camera I will be waiting for a longer time to receive them.
That was a special welcome for Norse it was there first flight to Barbados.

I am so glad to see you arrive in Barbados to such a pleasant welcome,and welcome to the Caribbean! Kudos to the Barbados tourism board for the work they put forth in this industry. I am not from Barbados,but from the island of St Thomas, USVI,and maybe one day you will visit there also. I dont live there now,but i still go home to visit every so often. Have fun in Barbados. It is Winter anywhere in the west. If you have never experienced winter it can be very cold and it is actually dangerous if you are not dressed right and with gloves. Wow what a welcome . Enjoy your stay

I can see why Bajans abroad long for their island home. Everything is so clean and ordered. The roads are in good condition. I noticed there were no burglar bars at your residence.
Their exchange rate is enviable. They certainly have adopted a successful formula.

I'm impressed with Barbados. The landscaping is obtainable with what you have in civilized countries. Definitely better than what you have in other Caribbean countries. It's also very strange that your first port of call is Christ Church, because my Bajan ex girlfriend is from Christ Church.

13hrs after upload I'm lucky to be home so I can watch with work these days.
Hopefully one day some African or Caribbean nation will have direct flights operating between the two regions without having to transit through Europe.

I can see that you don’t have the right clothing on for London, that’s why you’re feeling so cold. You should be wearing thermals & then layer up with sweaters etc. That’s what I do when I go back to London. It’s all about the clothing.

True. @AT, when u get thermals, buy the extra warm ones. Winter boots & and socks; your hands as well make sure you get some gloves. Pole sana for the cold 🥶
