It hurts that I lost the person I had spent so many days and nights falling in love with, but I’m glad for the friends who have helped me get by, even if it taking me longer than it is for him

This song perfectly captures my experience with transitioning. I lost so many relationships as a result of coming out and my life was thrown into a mess. But the relationships I have today are 10 times stronger than the old ones and I am in such a more stable place.
I'd transition to the Lord. Then and only then will you have true and, lasting peace, and then and only then will you understand your true person, purpose and destiny. Sheep don't fare very well apart from their shepherd.

God's standard, will, way and Word are what should guide you, not human feeling, human sentiment, emotion, societal values, which are often twisted, skewed and warped. Of course not. But that is exactly what you have done and are doing. In fact, many people today think they even have the right, being mere clay pots, to define the Potter Himself. They say things like, "I worship God my way," or "My God is different than your God," or "What is true for you may not be true for me." It's all this self-centered, rebellious, moral relativism bunk. I and the probable Love of my life just ended things because I (finally) told her about my lack of religion. Coming from a religious family and being religious, she didn't take it too well. Amidst tears from us both this morning, we ended things. It has been difficult, and I suspect it still is only the beginning. This song seems to speak to me, but I don't want to move on just yet. I don't want another one. I want her. I wish I could have her, and it hurts so so badly that I can't hold on to her again. I believe I already had the better one, and I lost it.
