The real question is who is going to direct it because doug liman was pissed about it not going theatrical.I think he is not going to return to direct this one😂

David Leitch would be a good choice as he understands action, can do comedy and the style of the movie right plus he can add even more crazy fun action

Agree. This movie had no business going to streaming. I don’t understand how distribution works but it’s logical that this would’ve been a hit in theaters.
Loved watching at home, don’t get it twisted. But I could stop wondering what this would’ve been watching it in theaters ….
If they do stick it in theaters, it'll be like this; the Transporter, straight to video, Transporter 2, theatrical. It can be done.
I watched Road House on shrooms thought it was hilarious wouldn’t mind a sequel
I thought this new Roadhouse movie was a lot of fun, nothing great but for a simple popcorn action movie it was very entertaining, and personally I thought Connor McGregor was 1 of the best things about it, his super energetic performance I thought was really enjoyable, and so I’m definitely down for a sequel, although they’d better put it in theaters because this movie had absolutely no reason to have been put on streaming when it was clearly meant for the big screen
I loved the original and this version. But I definitely wouldn’t have went to the movies to see it. I simply would have waited to see it on streaming
McGregor was my actually my favorite thing of the entire movie he was hilarious and super entertaining as well
4:49 it’s all about the ads. I’m not sure if the original was released after Amazon Prime had the ads, but the sequel will and if 80+ million people tune in to watch it that’s a lot of ad revenue.
And I can see it going to theatre if they want. Maybe they offer to get the director back.
Amazon is a publicly traded company, The stockholders care about making money.

Honestly i really liked, it fun, action was good, and Connor was good in it, Hope he makes it to the sequel.

I think they could put this in theaters easily and if they’re worried about it being a sequel why not just leave the number off the title and just give it a cool byline or whatever they call it like roadhouse: KNOX KNOX, who’s there? 😂

Yes, a movie can use a comic relief.
Was a fun film a easy watch..could introduce the sam elliot mentor/friend character in the sequel build upon that and have development with him becoming more like swayzes Dalton. If they do a third have him getting the call to go work at the Double Deuce or have the second film end that way credits roll.

I dont think Conor will be coming back for the Sequel he did sort of poor cold water on the chances of him doing it again as his focus is on fighting
You have a movie go to the movie theatre to make money then bring it to streaming. So why don’t they do that.
Problem is…will Doug Liman direct it? He was mad pissed it didn’t have a theatrical release.
Why? The reboot was NOT good. Most of the actors seemed to be phoning it in and McGregor played himself… Gyllenhaal was fine. And cutting out Sam Elliott’s character from the original? That’s a crime - he made that first film.

I don’t mind Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor, but him and this role just didn’t work for me. I mean, he had a pretty good interaction in between him and McGregor there at the end of the movie has a pretty good fight but the chemistry and everything and the way the character was in the original movie with Swayze way better that movie itself was so much better than the remake, the remake itself seemed a little on the silly side I mean, yeah the fights were a little more graphic from the throat thrashing, but I’m just shocked that the original one never got a sequel. I just recently watched it several times because I like it so much better.
I'm not a hardcore mcgregor fan or anything but I feel pretty confident in saying that the reason so many ppl watched this movie in the first place was coz he was in it

Connor's character didn't make too much sense to me, it was flawed from the very start when he jumped the window running away from presumably a cuckold husband when.. if i had understood Connor's character correctly, i believe he could've just bashed the living daylights out of the husband and continue his thing with the italian lady. I found his character was over acted, he was untouchable and no cops on his tail for all the bad things he had done - simply written for the wrong movie, maybe it would work if this character appeared in say.... Fast and Furious

Thinking this would be a hit if it were in theaters is delusional. The movie was trash. The cgi injected into this, and Liman's declaration of this movie being his best should have him committed. The only reason it did so well is because people didn’t have to go to the theater for it. It would have bombed. The sequel will likely suck, too.
Even if the movie made 20 million in theatres , that's 20 moll more than it's made on streaming lol
