That looks perfect for the job. Ticking all boxes movement, water disturbance, vertical action from the boobie eyes, durability from the rabbit wing and tail. On a DI 5, 7, or 8. Either as a single or with a cormorant ahead of it. Jobs a good un.
@@ihcfn In the past some anglers would cast out their line then just put the rod down. If you are not in contact with the flies then the fish tend to swallow the fly. This obviously causes distress and irrectable damage. I think in Scotland many fisheries still don't allow booby patterns.
Best of luck tomorrow. For me, this is, without a doubt, one of the best looking fish taking flies you've ever tied on yotube, it just screams trout taker. I've only tried to do booby eyes once and they looked horrendous and more like hexagons😂, not tried since as I've fished 10 different fisheries all over Scotland and none of them allow boobies to be used (hope I've did the plural correctly there 🫣) lol. I'm going to tie theses with red, blue and white and green and yellow and black and orange beads. Should take their share. 👍
@@lindsayiflyfish I agree mate, not the most difficult to tie for someone like yourself but they look like little fish and the touch of colour just screams deadly
Good job lindsay tks luv that fritz
The FNF jelly is excellent pal.

Hi Lindsay, why do some places ban this fly?
If it is not fished correctly the fly can be taken to deep by the fish.
@@lindsayiflyfish Thanks, always wondered why. How would it be fished incorrectly?
@@ihcfn static on a sinking line, trout just engulfs it and becomes deep hooked. Fish can't be released as will bleed out.

@@lindsayiflyfish So it's irresponsible anglers and not the fly itself. Thanks for the replies. 👍
Very nice pattern let us know how you did
You can watch on Thursday pal👍

There are flies for fly tying and then there are those out and out fish killers! This is in the later category 👍
