I have always wondered how to turn a sporty into a dirt bike and this is by far the most helpful video I’ve found
I saw this bike at a bike-show here in Holland. I am not a big Harley fan, but this one made me spent a good 20 minutes checking out every detail. Love the rough hardcore look. Big thumb up to the builders and the guys who rode it.
That is an amazing build! Clearly takes a lot of knowledge and a lot of fine tuning to make a street bike into a true offroad machine like that. As well as a boat load of cash. I've compiled a list of steps here for anyone wanting to get into offroad racing on a more limited mindset and budget.
Step 1: buy a dirt bike
Step 2: race
Yeah that thing looks heavy and ungainly
Solid advice 😂
man this thing is decked out! I love it glad I gave this a view. great job!
That is some gearing... great meeting you guys and great job with this project.
Wow thats phenomenal! I had seen this bike before but didnt know how much had gone into it!
Love this bike breakdown! Amazing
Holy moly. That's probably the coolest desert cruiser I've seen.
Incredibly interesting video, ive dreamed of doing this for years! Thanks for making this!
Looks like a 70's dirt bike coupled to a sportster engine. Nothing like going backwards.
On the footage you see the front wheel sticking to the ground and the rear wheel is bouncing up and down like a basketball. I think damping needs some work.
Stay tuned for the soon to be released "Boracho 1200"
Wow, that’s something I never thought I would see. Nice work!
Yea right if only Harley would listen to their dammed customers, We want a HD dirt bike!
Definitely one of the sickest offroad builds I've seen. The only thing I noticed was it looks like it could use some more rebound dampening on the rear shocks, but sick sick sick guys
watching that rear end bounce through those whoops as the front just tracks and floats... nice!
Beautiful bike, the type of Harley I'd want to own but with all the mods you have to do I think I'll just stay on my KLR
Why not have both?
Very Cool!
I want one.
Nice bit of kit.
I remember this building a publication somewhere in time.. nice video!
Cool build
Ok best build I've seen, great job...
Could we have a similar video on the Spare Parts Sporty or are the similar in spec?
Where did y’all get that seat?
What seat is this?
That is one cool bike, would ride circles around my Sporty
It looks like the gearing would be way too low with that giant sprocket . With the regular sprocket you want to be able to get up some hills?
Truly sick bike.... who put all the zipties on with the locks facing out?
Doesn’t having a four layer air filter really choke the air flow?
Hopefully u guys may do 1 supermoto version … 100% admire u guys
Love you Rob 😘😘
Gearing seems way off with 22 up front? I mean most of my enduro bikes are 13 to 16 tooth front sprockets and 39 to 50 rears. Seems like you could cut both sprockets down to half that and still have the same ratio. Unless yall done this to keep the chain from bindding up on the swing arm mounts? I would have just lowered the swing arm mounts and corrected the drive line. Maybe some new engine mounts to tilt them back a bit. But either way I still respect the build its a nice bike and it gives me ideas on what direction to go with my 883 scrambler build.
I've noticed in a lot of these videos there is wire holding on the grips. I have had a few sets of Biltwell grips and have never used that method. just a tiny bit of glue on the inside. Is there a benefit to wire over glue? Thanks.
It's an old dirt bike trick we like to do. It just a way to make sure your grips stay in place.
My xr650l needs redundant cdi s
Nice
Just great. How much weight did you add wih all those add-ons?
Nice job guys.
A couple of questions for you,What steering angle did you go with and how long are the rear shocks?
After watching a couple of times I see you have 17" rear shocks.I am looking for a clutch perch and lever for my Sportster conversion. What did you use?
Its all about performance.
Was there a lot of vibration using a Harley engine vs another
Don't be silly!
It looked like the back up battery wasn’t connected. To keep it charged, a battery isolator could help out. Basically a diode . We got ‘em on our boats.
My new generic answer when somebody asks me a reassurance question at the track " I think it's as good as a Sportster designed for racing in the desert can be"
Install a Buell crankshaft. About 3 lbs lighter and much stronger
This would be a cool super moto
❤❤❤❤❤ผมชอบมากคับมันสวยมากคับ
Install a Hammer performance 1275 kit with 1200 heads. 120 hp
fishfinder could come in handy in the water crossings............
Most Mexican bike ever
hey whats a FrijolE?
The frijole arrempujo 👉👌
420!😎
#420 🤘😎💨👍
It looks like the backend likes to jump around?
Westergaard translate to "the western farm" ..
Stock xr way better but still so cool
Get Harley to make a model of this bike. Call it the Mad Max.
Now if harley created more than one style of bike they would dominate the market
Streetfighter is sick
@@captaingoldbeered803 Yep it does look good, but it's the pan america I want to test ride!
No, maybe the us but not even there because they are too pricey. Others would simply offer objectively better lighter faster nakedbikes travelenduros etc. I'd be surprised if an actually sporty Harley even does the job as good as the Yamaha mt01 apparently did.
Harley needs aermacchi..to make race bike...
Mario
if MadMax was real, i know which bike would be riding.
I just peed my self......
A bean 883? WTF?
Great job but the bike is a tank, non practical.
Hahahaha frijole totally wrong frijol pendejo
So who is going to call this bike a girls bike
you spend so much money on this and it still is shity in driving off road.
The built a Harley dirtbike and instead of letting us hear how it sounds, they added a generic soundtrack.
You can tell when an experienced racer sets up a bike.
