The healing just flies off of you Allison Russell... I am new to your music, starting from your collaboration with Brandi Carlile, now I am going back and finding all of your gem filled catalog. Wow, I am rich with your offerings. SO good to hear JT also. What a beautiful soul he is. LOve, Love, LOVE evertything you do. Thank you and Bless you and your family
This is an excellent song I like both this one and the version with Mandy Moore and ailissa maestro, who has the last name maestro and then also plays music just what a cool last name. Filipinos rule. Have to say that cuz my grandbabies have some Filipino in them black and white.
Americana. I'd say a blend of folk, country, folk/country rock pop, blues, bluegrass, R&B, mountain music, jazz, soul, gospel, protest songs... I'd recommend listening to more of their music, and other musicians in their scene. Live, they are all unbelievably good musicians, creative, empowering: Yola, Layla McCalla, Amythyst Kiah, Rhiannon Giddens, Birds of Chicago, Po Girl, Sista Strings... True, not everyone "feels" it. That's no crime, but maybe it will grow on you.

This was/is fantastic- I’m such a fan!!! Russell’s voice, JT’s songwriting: Y’all are so awesome!
Just came across this video today, and I am amazed by the talent of this group, vocally and instrumentally. I'm a fan.
Great talents, beautiful music and voices. Thanks a lot!
What great musicians .... great songs and singing.
Love, love Birds of Chicago! Best way to get through 2020 is to listen to their songs!
Sorry, but i feel it a lot! You´re great guys!

Lol
Sorry, not feeling it. Secular gospel? Why do I feel like I'm watching Guthrie, Dylan and Young all wrapped up in one?
If you're sure of what you're saying, why start out your sentence with "Sorry?" Why are you sorry? Lame.
I can see why feeling like you're watching Guthrie, Dylan, and Young all wrapped up in one would be disappointing. ;-)
