This channel is a goldmine! Thanks for all the wonderful footage. I’m just barely old enough to remember the tail end of locomotives running with Southern livery & the dawn of the NS thoroughbred scheme, so a lot of this footage really takes me back to some of my earliest memories with my folks & grandparents indulging my boyhood train obsession (which would eventually become a grown man’s train obsession, lol).
It's been 25 or more years since I had this tape. A few years ago I put a high nose on a Spectrum GP30 and lettered it southern 2548. Now the last train shown on this tape is lead by southern GP30 2548. Now I have footage of my model's prototype .
N&W+SOU=NS. I remembered the title before you showed it. I had the vhs tape. Good memories. Back then, we said that NS stood for " no more Southern ".😊❤
Hi, anyone know what kind of car that is at 58:38 between the gondola and the flatcar? Can’t quite make it out in case for some reason it’s obvious to anyone.
Thanks for posting. I have this one and “Part 2 - The N&W” on vhs. JMJ Productions did outstanding work for the day.

“Part 2 - the N&W” is another great one.
13:32 That Mid-Train Helper is SD60 #6628. Not an SD50
I had this on VHS, miss watching this film, do you know where or if I can acquire it on DVD, BluRay, or 4K UHD disk?😊
@@TreyBiscoe negative.
@@tuxedorailfan4630 Please tell me you’re not gonna ever take this video down, also, do you happen to have CSX Diesels also from this producer?
