  • This review covers the set up and review of the Hennessy Hammock Expedition. I have used this hammock on several traverses and has stood the test of time in summer as well as winter. Weighing in at 3lbs. with durable high quality materials, built in bug net and comes with rainfly this hammock is top notch.

Fantastic review bud, the only problem is I have to have trees to use it. Last week I was on a mountain that doesn’t have trees big and strong enough where I could use this.

What are the pros and cons of using a hammock versus a tent? Would it have to do with weight? Or if you are hiking in heavily wooded areas? PS- Cool video!! 👍🏻

Pros: weighs 3 pounds, and you don't always get even ground for a tent, pretty much wherever you hike you can find a couple of trees, and doubles as a chair.😁😁😁😁 Cons: can get cramped in a small space, made for primarily for sleeping, and challenging for side sleepers. Thanks for the questions, hope it helps.
