For a damn thermostat! I battled that stupid truck for 9 years and I couldn’t doit anymore I loved that truck but I finally realized it’s never be a Jeep I spent more time fixing it than driving it some years. I finally caved and gotta Jeep. Best decision I ever made super easy to work on parts are relatively cheap plenty of aftermarket and it’s king of the trail. Not too mention the soft top. Not matter what you do you’ll never avoid the body damage that a Jeep can avoid I’ve seen many guys in all sorts of different Toyotas just raisen up their shit where jeeps have no issues all because of their ego lol keep to taco make it a prerunner get a Jeep if you want to rock crawl less time and money and stress you keep your pride and joy so light trails and overlanding and desert use the Jeep to abuse it on the rocks. Also for the rims try the old duck tape trick on them if you can break the bead on them. Ask around they’ll tell you about it lol I’m wondering if the shoot hat put them on used too much bead lube yo get them on? Also maxxident is an auto correct in my phone 😂
I’m a Toyota guy and this is correct. Toyotas aren’t really meant for rock crawling. I mean you can pour a lot of money into them and make them capable but where a rubicon stock is at, you have to spend alot of money to get to a stock Jeep’s capability and a bunch of cutting and chopping. But where Toyotas shine would be a pre runner and where Toyotas really shine is overlanding. Taking alot of abuse and being very reliable and solid and having a lot of room for cargo and gear and most overlanders choose to have something like a 33 rather than giant tires like 37s and 40s since overlanding is a balance of everything. On road off road every type of weather so alot of guys also choose all terrain tires for snow and rain and just being versatile and not being too bad on mpg. 33 inch is a perfect size for a Toyota trucks or at least the tacoma 4runner fj cruiser Land Cruiser. Depends what you do but strictly rock crawling jeep is def the best. Overlanding and being versatile with all different types of terrain and roads and doubling as a daily driver and being comfortable, Toyota is the way to go. But we’ll what Toyota does for their newer stripped down Land Cruiser and the 6th gen 4runner. So far the tundra wasn’t too impressive and just a solid truck but nothing to write home about, but the tacoma seems to be a very big improvement all around as long as the power train is as bulletproof as previous N/A engines. I’m a toyota guy till I die but I respect all real off road vehicles that are body on frame and are actually used off road and pushes the competition and market to be better. Bronco forced jeep to come out with the 392, and the extreme recon package and make minor adjustments that are great and should’ve been there all along. The midsize market is insanely competitive and forced other brands to try to top the tacoma and they forced toyota to come with the heat for the 4th gen tacoma. The bronco and jeep will make the 6th gen 4runner to be better and the stripped down Land Cruiser will be better because of those reasons too. The consumers win at the end of the day. Now they just all need to lower the damn prices hahaha. These new truck prices are getting ridiculous after covid.
