Another good one Charlie, I like a messy big hair fly.....thank you!
Awesome pattern Charlie.i catch alot of fish on this one.thanks.
This is an awesome fly. I bet with all the flies you tie your Box or Boxes would scare me!
this fly rocks, THANKS Charlie!!
I just tied some October Caddis pupa and I experimented with CDC feathers for the hackle instead of traditional feathers. I didn’t really know how to tie them as a collar so this video came at a good time. Thanks Charlie!
Very nice fly Charlie’s
Great fly!
Thanks for the pattern, although Hans Weilenmann was indeed its creator. It is a very useful fly in duo rig. Long time no hear from Hans Weilenmann.
If I had to have one dry, this would be it, Size 14 to 20. It covers every base , Caddis, Mayfly, Stonefly, Terrestrial and Midge. It's truly magical. I tie it both super skinny and bushy like this one. All credit to Hans, it doesn't look much to my eye but the trout and grayling would disagree.
Please consider changing your background color to a blue so we can see better!
Noooo, no blue! Black works great for me. Maybe a dark/medium grey would help others more. I say keep the background neutral, no colored backgrounds.
Charlie - plewase define coastal/hopper hair - what are the characteristics that characteize this type of hair? Thanks
Do you ever use coastal deer hair
