I genuinely love see all ages get into vlogging but especially those who are not in their 20s. I just enjoy seeing facets of life through different lenses
Haven't even watched the video yet and 100% agree. I'm in my twenties and boy let me tell you. People in their 20s are not it. Being around mature people with a little age and grace is so much more refreshing than being around your peers

Love this! I thought you were in your 30s and we were around the same age. Im a gay asian guy who's going (or went) through so many similar things - my ongoing struggle with alcohol, getting older, self-acceptance. Its nice to see what life could be like in my 40s.
I may be 43, but still young at heart. I consider myself a late bloomer which is probably why I get along so well with you young folk lol. Hang in there. You'll find your groove. In my 30s I was still (and still am honestly) learning so much about myself and my life and what I want to make out of it. One step at a time and build on things that make you happy.
When you are 55 you will look back at this video and think “what?.. I looked so young!”. And then you'll give the world to be 43 again. And btw, 55 isn't old either! I'm a kid of the 80s so I'll always be 21 thanks.

You seems to have a wrong idea about getting older. Like it is a black hole you are falling into. For me getting older it is: getting wiser, more experienced, more relaxed, having better sex, a better relationship with others.. enjoying small things in life. I am happy that I dont have to struggle through life and try to find things out. I know who I am and know what I have become. I am ok and so are you! Just embrace things as the come. Stop worrying! It will all be fine...❤

Hey Phil! Thanks for watching! The black glasses are from Warby Parker in the style "callum" and the sunglasses are Oakleys. They're part of their lifestyle collection but I forget the name. They're super light and sturdy so they double as my running shades too.
Thank you man! Skincare is currenly CeraVe lol... was using Fenty Skin prior! But overall i just like a good spf moisturizer during the day and at night is when I get a little more into my skincare with adding some retinol, hyaluronic acid, eye cream and a good night moisturizer. Big fan or retinol! And exfoliation 1-2 times a week.

I haven’t made a video in almost a month because I’m so unhappy with how I currently look, and it’s much harder to correct that at 46 than ever before. Dude I feel you! And i have to say, getting on camera often helps keep me accountable. It’s already tough looking at ourselves in the mirror when we aren’t feeling our best selves but times that feeling by a million when we’re spending hours editing video of ourselves. Not fun. You got this! 💪🏼

I went sober in October 2021 and some advice I would give to someone taking a break from drinking or even going sober is to find a mocktail alternative. Recess Mood has great mocktails that taste really good! I turned 26 in February and focused on staying healthy as I age, so your video came at the perfect time!

First happy birthday! Second, omg we just got a yesoul bike and I absolutely love it! I never heard of the company before and it was totally a targeted ad that got me. I thought it was suspiciously cheap but after looking up reviews I ended up getting it. Not a super big fan of the app, but the bike and interface are amazing! I always watch RUclips or Netflix while on the thing it’s perfect and wayyyy cheaper and more functional than a peloton (in my opinion)

Happy Birthday Mike, this is my 40th year in October and I've been having the same thoughts with health and that's why I've decided to drink less and enjoy nights out with my people with a sober mind to be able to capture those moments longer.
Happy super early bday haha. I have yet to try a sober night out with friends but I'm actually looking forward to it for the very reason you mentioned.

happy belated birthday, Mikee! it looked like you had a really fun birthday. thanks for sharing your thoughts on getting older with us. even though i can't fully anticipate how i'll feel, i'm actually really looking forward to getting older and it's always helpful to see people living their best lives in their 30s + 40s (and i recently found someone on youtube who's in their 50s and making videos)! given the way it's shaken out for me and a lot of my fellow zillennials, i imagine my 30s and 40s will be what i was told my 20s were supposed to be 😂 also, about two months ago i decided i needed to take my physical health more seriously and got back in the gym and have been running more. it's been a little slower and my body is reminding me that i'm not 21 anymore but i'm still grateful to it for carrying me all these years. cheering you on in your health journey and in this next year of life!
Thanks Emily! I'd have to agree that your 30's is what your 20's were suppose to be and so forth but that's just a fun way of explaining what growth really is. I made so many dumb decisions in my 20s but also made some great ones! In your 30s, those balance out a bit better and now in my 40s, the the scale is leaning towards the good decisions I make over the bad ones lol. All decisions, in my opinion, are still very important ones because they help shape our lives and how we grow. And love that you're looking into your health more seriously. It's never too late or too soon. You say you're body isn't the same as it was when you were 21 but the good news is, it could be better! It just takes time and the right mindset. I feel stronger in my 40s than I did in my early 20s.
@@rvatxn No one is going out partying, cliff diving and hanging out at 58, let's be real. At 60 you are primarily preparing for retirement and living a very simple, sedentary lifestyle so that you can stay within your retirement budget. Everyone wants to be young forever, but life doesn't work that way. Death comes for us much sooner than we think and by 43, truthfully you don't really have all that much time left. Most of our kids will be leaving home very soon and starting college and going out into the real world while we wind down or working lives.
I know some people in their 60s still doing the most (within limits of course) which is inspiring but I'm also logical so I get where you're coming from. While I think death comes at any time, we still have so much time in our 40s (minus things out of our control). If we're lucky to get to our 80's, we've just only lived half our lives. That's quite a good amount of time to make the best of this next chapter.
@@MikeeRogers Yeah, but you've lived the healthy and energetic part of your life from 0-43. 43 to about 60 is still fine, you can live a lot of life in that 17 years. But 60 to 80 you will be slowing down a lot even if you're lucky to remain healthy. So really you have a good 20 years left to enjoy life, which isn't a whole lot of time in the grand scheme of things. I'm the same age as you so not making of you, it's just that life is short and our young years are in the past.

Thank you man! Skincare is currenly CeraVe lol... was using Fenty Skin prior! But overall i just like a good spf moisturizer during the day and at night is when I get a little more into my skincare with adding some retinol, hyaluronic acid, eye cream and a good night moisturizer. Big fan or retinol! And exfoliation 1-2 times a week.

I haven’t made a video in almost a month because I’m so unhappy with how I currently look, and it’s much harder to correct that at 46 than ever before. I went sober in October 2021 and some advice I would give to someone taking a break from drinking or even going sober is to find a mocktail alternative. Recess Mood has great mocktails that taste really good! I turned 26 in February and focused on staying healthy as I age, so your video came at the perfect time!

Second, omg we just got a yesoul bike and I absolutely love it! I never heard of the company before and it was totally a targeted ad that got me. I thought it was suspiciously cheap but after looking up reviews I ended up getting it. Not a super big fan of the app, but the bike and interface are amazing! I always watch RUclips or Netflix while on the thing it’s perfect and wayyyy cheaper and more functional than a peloton (in my opinion)

Happy Birthday Mike, this is my 40th year in October and I've been having the same thoughts with health and that's why I've decided to drink less and enjoy nights out with my people with a sober mind to be able to capture those moments longer.

happy belated birthday, Mikee! it looked like you had a really fun birthday. thanks for sharing your thoughts on getting older with us. even though i can't fully anticipate how i'll feel, i'm actually really looking forward to getting older and it's always helpful to see people living their best lives in their 30s + 40s (and i recently found someone on youtube who's in their 50s and making videos)! given the way it's shaken out for me and a lot of my fellow zillennials, i imagine my 30s and 40s will be what i was told my 20s were supposed to be 😂
also, about two months ago i decided i needed to take my physical health more seriously and got back in the gym and have been running more. it's been a little slower and my body is reminding me that i'm not 21 anymore but i'm still grateful to it for carrying me all these years. cheering you on in your health journey and in this next year of life!
Thanks Emily! I'd have to agree that your 30's is what your 20's were suppose to be and so forth but that's just a fun way of explaining what growth really is. I made so many dumb decisions in my 20s but also made some great ones! In your 30s, those balance out a bit better and now in my 40s, the the scale is leaning towards the good decisions I make over the bad ones lol. All decisions, in my opinion, are still very important ones because they help shape our lives and how we grow.
And love that you're looking into your health more seriously. It's never too late or too soon. You say you're body isn't the same as it was when you were 21 but the good news is, it could be better! It just takes time and the right mindset. I feel stronger in my 40s than I did in my early 20s.

43 is definitely getting up there. You have a good 15 years before your body really starts breaking down so enjoy them as much as you can!

@@rvatxn No one is going out partying, cliff diving and hanging out at 58, let's be real. At 60 you are primarily preparing for retirement and living a very simple, sedentary lifestyle so that you can stay within your retirement budget. Everyone wants to be young forever, but life doesn't work that way. Death comes for us much sooner than we think and by 43, truthfully you don't really have all that much time left. Most of our kids will be leaving home very soon and starting college and going out into the real world while we wind down or working lives.
I know some people in their 60s still doing the most (within limits of course) which is inspiring but I'm also logical so I get where you're coming from. While I think death comes at any time, we still have so much time in our 40s (minus things out of our control). If we're lucky to get to our 80's, we've just only lived half our lives. That's quite a good amount of time to make the best of this next chapter.
@@MikeeRogers Yeah, but you've lived the healthy and energetic part of your life from 0-43. 43 to about 60 is still fine, you can live a lot of life in that 17 years. But 60 to 80 you will be slowing down a lot even if you're lucky to remain healthy. So really you have a good 20 years left to enjoy life, which isn't a whole lot of time in the grand scheme of things. I'm the same age as you so not making of you, it's just that life is short and our young years are in the past.
