Let me phrase it this way, why wasn't this band promoted by the record company. There's no question had they been they would have been huge. How do they decide who gets promoted and who doesn't? There are plenty of crappy bands and "entertainers" that make it big that suck! Snoop Dog comes to mind but the list is long.
He was already considered back when they first needed a new singer. Apparently Neil was too freaked out so they went with Augeri. Think about it. He’s a Perry clone. It would’ve looked like they were trying too hard and couldn’t move on. That said, I would go see them if Hugo was lead singer, not Arnel or anyone else.
@@redsed1565 ludicrous! Some of the notes Hugo hits are ridiculous. You can often hear Arnel’s accent when he sings and that’s no good. I don’t need to hear Journey songs with a Filipino accent.
Great opener. Surprisingly when I listen to the album version of these songs, they are not as good as this live performance. This is an incredible set of music.
@waynepreston542 He had different guys helping him record his solo album I believe. This live version is with the Valentine guys. So this is a bit heavier and more guitar driven which I think suits the song better.

Probably not enough promotion. Lots of good music acts, very few make it big. American Idol proved how important exposure is.
