Well, after this game, the whole England players had spent 2 months of holiday as a result of Euro 2008 failure. Such a shame for the big nations that didn't play in a major tournament like Italy's recent World Cup failures.
@@Onmysheet 2010 World Cup was also a disappointing campaign for England, but it would have been a different story if not for Frank Lampard's controversial ghost goal against Germany.
@@Onmysheet Indeed, the 2014 edition was much worse. They finished bottom in what was called the "Group of Death", where Costa Rica surprised many by beating Uruguay and Italy, although England itself avoided a big scare against Costa Rica with a goalless draw. In 2010, despite being in the weakest group, England are still underperformed. Against USMNT, their goalkeeper made a huge mistakes that cost a 3 points. Against Algeria, the North Africans would have won that game based on the match statistics during that dull, goalless draw.
it's so amazing how the English commentators were talking about how poor a team T&T were and I know T&T are not one of the better teams in the world but they are acting like they totally destroyed us, which was not the case. Based on England vs T&T status they should have a minimum of a five (5) goals difference against us and they only managed three (3). It goes without saying there is a very big gap in individual quality of the both sides and this team was not even of the same quality in terms of personnel and a synergistic team as 2006 and they managed to have a decent amount of possession and hold England to a score definitely below what you should expect of England and they keep boasting about how far superior they were in this game.
This was a mere exhibition match, pal….It wasn’t even England full-strength team….You really expected England to go all-out in a non-competitive match, risking injuries etc..???! They only started some of the main-starters and didn’t even play at full tilt…..We should count our blessings
Don’t tar all us English with same brush. I think why the commentators are referring too is, we are playing away from home in the Caribbean. It’s not every day we get to play over there… On a side note I went to Germany in 2006 World Cup watching my boys England. I was in Frankfurt for our first game and I met so many fans from diffent cultures and backgrounds, my point being is I had beers with 🇹🇹 fans who came over too. Such good times. I was 21 years old.
Thanks for the upload I was there. From Venezuela traveled to Trinidad and Tobago just to watch England and Beckham!
The last non-tournament England game covered by the BBC. They’ve only covered England in tournaments since then.
Thank you for posting this.
Thank you very much for this match ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great work mate as always

It was such a missed opportunity, because all the England players were at their prime at that point. By 2010 they were already past it.

@ezraezra2928 England were awful throughout the whole tournament. They didn't deserve to get further than they did.

@@ezraezra2928 It was ironic how the England fans went from overhyping the players in 2010 to increasingly low expectations 4 years later.
Awesome , I watched it Live ...
