You could tell you really wanted those PXG irons to work when you first got them so hopefully you can get them sorted out and give them a proper go. The only surprise has been not seeing the 5 wood in the bag, but I know you really wanted to give the 7 wood a good amount of time. I like the 7 wood idea and might look into that for next year. Enjoyed that Dan!
Had my first fitting in April. They recommended very light shafts and I started by moving the driver and 7 wood to these. Once I had them in the bag they were so different that I have since gradually moved everything else to match. It’s more pleasurable to play especially over 18 holes. I now recommend getting fit to everyone. And most can do like me and spread the cost over 6 months or more.
Thanks Dan- always interesting to hear your thoughts on what's in your bag, or might be soon. I have the TSR2 7W and have been missing left of late, after being consistently straight for a long while. All toe strikes. So I've started tinkering with the setup to see if I can reduce the left miss when toe striking. I love the way the 7W feels and plays overall. But I don't have an 'old faithful' 5W sat in the wings that could replace it. I'm waiting on new irons ('24 P770) with the same Rifle 6.0 shaft, after a recent fitting. Can't wait to get them in the bag. The Rifle shaft felt great at the fitting.
Use the Sun Mountain H2NO, i replaced my Ping Hoofer crazeelite; the Sun Mountain is so much better, more robust, easier to carry and absolutely waterproof, the dreaded UK weather demands it. Good choice of partner Dan
Hi Dan, nice vid - interesting about the Qi10 .. I tried it out last week and found the trajectory was too low for me, so tried the callaway paradigm in the same setup and that got me the launch i needed. Different strokes for different folks! .... also gaming an RBZ but in a 3 wood - it goes miles :)
Dan you still may opt for the RBZ back in the bag but I'd suggest changing the SureFit setting from D1 to C1 first. It's worth a try for a bit more of a right start based on your swing. Cheers!
Come on Dan, the RBZ 5 wood will always be the go-to, I switch between the RBZ 3W HL 17 deg & RBZ 5W 18 deg and wait for it…….the RBZ 9W 24 deg for longish Par 3’s. Brother I’m on a quest to purchase as many RBZ’s as I can get my hands on. All Good Mate. Gotta love a good tinker with bag.
I still have the cobra F9 3 and 5 wood in the bag. I can't replace them. I've tested new woods but nothing can beat the numbers. Stick with what you know if there are no gains to be found.
Enjoyable content Dan. I changed from SM9 to RTX6. RTX6 feels more 'forged' to me. Also, I had 620MB and tested Srixon ZX7 mk2, wow...... mishits with 620MB would drop off 10-12m but not the ZX7, only losing 3-6m on mishots. My bet is that those 620MB are holding you back in a way.
The irons didn't surprise me or the putter tbh. The rest, well it does seem a mixed bag. The Qi10 has an adjustable sleeve I think and 15° is nearly a 4 wood so maybe a trip to a tour van to de-loft the 3 wood without having to resort to the sleeve which will open the face. Apparently Taylormade can bend the 3 wood head so maybe that can stop the face opening, dunno maybe. No surprise the rbz 5 wood is making a comeback. You do hit it well. I know you have tried loads of different balls but something I tried was Callaway Chrome Tour, no more TP5 for me
Are you sure you and Paul are related? One of you loves his old putter and the other has a different one on each show!! If the 5 wood is staying then you have some interesting decisions on your 3 and 7 going forward PXG will no doubt have you sorted after your visit there today!!
Dan ive struggled with my driver lately. I was wondering what adding shaft weight does for a swing. I am in a ventus tr red 5 stiff now with velocore. It feels stable. But i continue to hook it a bit. And i dont hit it as high as Id like to. Im sure its my delivery more than anything but is there a shaft you would suggest for me ? I swing around 101-102 on the course and my attack angle is fairly neutral maybe a tad up. Just erratic strikes on the face usually toe side. Just some insight and advice please sir.
It’s funny to see how things have changed now that you’re a free agent. Welcome to the amateur tinker world Dan 😂 Good set up for your driver, you might need to get a hold of a new shaft if you want Joe Le Pro to tip it for you Also interesting to see you, as a PGA Pro, using a driver at 44.5”. I think a video is required to educate amateurs from struggling with fishing poles over 45” 😢
Really enjoyed the WITB review. I'm curious about your PXG irons (0317 T). What made you decide they weren't tailored to your game? Is it just a matter of the lofts/lies being tweaked, or it something more significant? Made me wonder whether you were properly fitted by PXG.
I had the fitting Brian, did you see the video? They really did not feel anything like the fitting when they arrived. I won’t give too much away as I have done another video which will be coming out soon 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf Sorry Dan, I must have missed your earlier video on the PXG fitting. Will definitely look for it. Hope you get your irons sorted out.
Dan was this filmed before you had Joe change the shaft in the PXG driver? Wondering how you’re getting along with the Black Ops with the altered shaft?
Vandalizing those gorgeous blades with those hideous sharpie yardages. 🤮 Just create a little laminated card with your yardages and attach it to your bag.
nice we can always count on the newport 2. can't go wrong with it. Performance, feel, balance and consistency with that putter.
Love a well thought out eclectic bag. 👍🏼
Dan, I also use the Taylormade RBZ 5 wood, but with a different shaft, as I’m nearing 70. I love this club. Great channel. Regards from Australia

A mixed bag indeed - happy to see the 5 wood in the bag & hoping to see good things from the customised JTP driver ..

Dan if you like the Qi10 3 wood maybe replace your 5 wood with the Qi10 max 5 wood (19°). It won’t reach your 2 wood and play like a stronger 7 wood
Hey Dan you should try hit some Srixon irons they feel amazing
At last, the return of Trusty 👏 👏 👏
Liking the older Titleist MB irons in the bag!
Fascinating insight Dan, very interesting, thank you.
great to see a update on your bag Dan, keep forgetting you have changee driver at moment as kept thinking you were still using the black ops pxg one

Love the video and love that hat. Been looking for that exact one

Have you considered shortening the 7 wood shaft a 1/2 inch or 12mm

The only wedges I use are Cleveland Zipcore.
Nice one Dan. Driver head cover ordered.
Thank you 🙏
👍👍👍 Great watch

I have discovered Wilson Staff model balls and have loved using them over the summer
15 degrees is surely a stock 3 wood loft?
I would love to see more club fittings please
Long live the RBZ!

Probably need a lie angle adjustment on that 7 wood to center the strike. I hope you get the PXGs worked out.
Interesting, would like to see a WITB of your brother and Jo the pro

Hey Dan why don’t you add the RBZ 3 wood since you like the 5 so much?
I do have one, just not the same unfortunately, never performed like the 5 wood

Did you not used to play the Titleist CBs also? Great bag mate 😊
Yeah a few years back now 2016/17 👍

Yes it was 👍
Scott Readman rocks
What happened to the reverse taper putter grip?
It is on the other Scotty, it felt good but I lost all my feel as time moved on.
You are a little tinkerer, 😂. Very mixed bag, which I find very good.
The year is 2050, the RBZ 5 wood is still in the bag.
Dan, can you insure your golf clubs ? There must be a fortune in the bag.
I might bring all new bats to France 😂😂😂😂
Assume you’ve learnt how to use the laser since Turkey!
😂
Look at those chemtrails in the sky!
So it’s not exactly a what’s in the bag, more of a definitely/possibly/maybe/absolutely/perhaps what’s in my bag 😅
Know plenty of people fitted for complete sets of new clubs with no improvement to their game.
About 9 months too late
Driver? Pxg???😂
