- OMG this new attraction on Icon of the Seas is MAD. It's called Crown's Edge and is a hybrid obstacle course/zipline. It is unlike anything you - or I - have ever seen before on a cruise ship and involves jumping off the side of the ship (or at least it feels that way!) and dangling and zipping 154 feet over the waves. It is a massive adrenaline rush, my heart was hammering in my chest and this video shows why. This was super scary and the wind on the day I did it while not strong enough to close the attraction down for safety reasons (though it had been closed earlier on in the day) was still strong enough to make it feel terrifying. The wind definitely added drama, though I would have preferred for it to not be windy! WARNING; Vertigo sufferers should NOT watch this video

lol, I've got to admit that I questioned my sanity once I got going on this...especially in all that mad wind!! Thankfully I survived to tell the tale - Happy Traveling to you too my friend. XXX
They replaced the zip line across the neighborhood with this?
It's an Icon class ship and not exactly the same as the ships with that zipline across the neighborhood, so no!! The next ship Utopia (the old class) will have that zip line you're talking about I think!!

I didn't feel brave as I did it - I thought I was being really stupid. That wind was mental and made it a whole lot more scary than I guess it might otherwise have been....what did you think of that great outfit I had to wear to do it?!
@@gowithjo1 I still do admire your bravery, and when I was young (as you are) remember taking calculated risks climbing, motorcycling and sailing in heavy weather - which is partly why I realise the danger of some kinds of wind events. If there were no fickle wind bursts, a more risqué outfit would have been fun and very attractive🤩😍 - but that gusting wind could have caused those straps to mark up your bare pretty skin. As it was, you made that necessary outfit look fabulous! Kudos on a demo well done!
