Chelsea FC Owner Boehly Calls For Patience, Eyes Stadium Plans

- Chelsea Football Club owner Todd Boehly is calling for patience at the club after this season's Premier League disappointment. Boehly said that when he first got involved with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team also struggled but his ownership group had to stick to the plan. "We went through a similar thing at Chelsea, but you have to ignore the noise around you." Boehly also said that the club is working on stadium plans In the longer-term. He was speaking at the at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha.

With due respect, Chelsea and Dodgers aren't the same. Chelsea is used to win trophies every year. Seeing Chelsea struggling in the midfield of the table and out of Champions league is something the fans are not used to see.

Here's what you need to understand: NONE of these investment/VC guys operate anywhere close to your (or mine) level of smartness. Billionaires trust them with their money, so they obviously know what they're doing - business wise. His plan is very clear now. They aren’t worried about winning now, they want to build a team like Man City that can dominate for a decade. They aren’t gonna go buy 26-32 year olds to win now. In 2-3 years when the current young players reach their prime there will be another young batch of elite players behind them. That’s win they expect to win the league not just once but 90% of the time like City currently does. For this to work you have to accept it will take 2-3 more years.

Step 5 replace City as the club that wins the league every year

You can’t compare the Dodgers to Chelsea… whatsoever. When Boehly & Co bought Chelsea FC, they weren’t buying a club that was down on its luck. We were 4th on the table and winning trophies 🏆 Since they bought the club, it’s become a laughing stock. Last season we almost got relegated with the same squad that was winning championships n such and this season stuck in mid-table with a squad that is more notable for their talents than the clubs up the table from us, and only until just recently this Spring we’re finally at 7th place 🤪 They can say all they wanna say, but these owners do not know what they’re doing with our club. Build a new stadium to fit more attendance? How about getting their management of the club figured out first so enough people will attend to watch a proper Chelsea match😅
