As an American, finding a roman coin sounds like it should be a much bigger deal than it seemed to be
if you find one in america it would be a massive deal
Eh, Romans minted coins in the billions. They are cool AF, but not too uncommon.
Finding a Roman coin in Europe is the equivalent of finding a pre revolution Spanish coin in America (pretty common)
though I had some problem with sea water It also ruclips.net/user/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

@@mariothingyi think it’s maybe got to do with the area. in america obviously finding old coins like that is insane but in europe that kind of thing would be much easier to find given the large scale population. it’s still a very cool find just not worth anything over there unless it’s in superb condition or somehow very rare

I feel like this is a great metaphor for life.
You start with going on an adventure, out in the world to look for treasures with purpose. Some do find things worth a pretty penny, but most of us just end up with a pile of shit.
But what matters is the joy we got from finding these worthless trinkets, with our mates.
Talking about worthless trinkets, I am really (and when I say really, I mean réálly) looking forward to the day that I will visit Britain once more and be able to pull some Christmas-crackers with someone. I've heard they have all sorts of silly stuff in them.
I'm angry that it took me so long to find this amazing content. I could have been enjoying this stuff months ago!

It’s not conductivity but density and magnetic (ferrous) properties that makes the difference in the tone. As far and metal detecting riches….you NAILED it! The people who get rich from metal detecting….are the people selling the metal detectors!

Great video, as always! Metal detecting is a lot of fun and this looks very well organised with a nice bunch of guys but it's not all treasure, this is also archaeology. Sadly, as an archaeologist I've seen sites destroyed by reckless detectors. Would be great if you included something about how archaeologists and metal detecting work together.
Doesn't look very well organised if the two men supposed to be helping Max didn't guide him to the proper dig area, and let him dig where he wasn't supposed to dig.

Gold is actually a good conductor, that's why they make gilded cables (HDMI etc.). It just has poor magnetic properties
