People looking for a Killshot on Euphoria, but missing how dismantling Drake on the “culture vulture” persona is exactly that. Drake wants to be loved by the people. He’s a pop star, “loves being famous.” Rap and Hip Hop is American culture. Lou said towards the end that Rap/Hip Hop as fallen from the depth it once had - Kendrick hates the way that Drake “talks, walks, and dresses” not Drake himself, but the fact that he’s capitalizing on the commercialization of R/HH as a result of Drakes “POP-ifying” of a once deep and layered genre. That was shown when he used AI of one of the most respected rappers of all time. Drake has no respect for the Game, and Kendrick hates THAT. If he can deliver this the right way, it will be the kill-shot.
I agree that Drake sucks, but he is NOT the one "POP-ifying" rap. That shit has been in proccess since the fucking 80s. That's why guys like Mos Def, Common or DOOM appeared in the first place, to try to counter that trend. Heck, even Kanye has been a huge influence in the most recent "POP-ification" of rap, he is the one who made the autotune singing and the chipmunk soul popular in hip hop.
Lucien and co. saw commercial potential on those trends and fed them to Drake and the likes and forced them on the masses to make cash. Drake sucks, but he is just a byproduct of the REAL POP-ification of hip hop that probably started with Run-DMC in the 80s.

Kanye has earned more money and was actually game changer, he actually changed the course of hip hop, style, production. Drake has had a major influence, but not quite Ye levels.

I always thought Drake had some one or some group pulling strings for him, bcuz his music is very mediocre. Especially bcuz drakes voice isn't great and he is kinda corny ( which is ok, you don't have to mr kool all the time) , but his music is the opposite of timeless, very little depth to it.. so it makes sense that someone with Allot of power is helping scew the numbers
