I saw that show a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I'd never heard much Devildriver but when I saw one of em was wearing a Sisters of Mercy shirt, I fell in love. and GWAR…now THAT was out of this world.

I just got reminded of this song, and let's just say I relate to it now much more than when it came out.
This is by far my favourite DD song. This is a masterpiece i think. I sadly havent heard all of them yet, but this one have been stuck in my head for ages. The awesome drumming, rhytm etc..

Their best record in my opinion.
Listening to different songs I realised that metal bands are sometimes too influenced by fashion and trends rather than evolving by artistic exploration.
This is a VERY accurate statement. Now that you can't make much money off of selling albums, it's a serious struggle for bands to stay true to themselves and develop a unique "sound" when that "sound" isn't what is currently popular... which is why most of what plays on the radio sounds like the same garbage.
I just have to hit the repeat button on this one again and again - the drums on this track areso fucking powerful, can't really believe it
