This is referring to how as sinful and unrighteous creatures we deserve to burn in the fires of hell forever. Luckily for us, God's unconditional love, and his never-ending mercy allows us a path out of eternal damnation. I'm now closer to God than I have ever been and I encourage anyone reading this who doesn't believe to have faith. God is real, God loves you, and he wants you with him in heaven. Choose wisely because it'll be the most important decision you'll ever make.

I have been really depressed and anxious lately. It has been difficult to process my thoughts and continue to move forward. This song provides peace that God is love. He is with me and I am going to be okay.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
Amen. God is love and he demonstrated his love through Christ who gave his life to save us from our sins. When we repent of our sins and believe in our Saviour and King we are granted eternal life with him forever, which gives us hope even when this life is hard.

I have difficulty holding back tears when singing and listening to this song. And all the words are so signicant to me as I am pursuing foster care and the words about family and closer than a brother hold specific significance to me today.
