For me this album is a 10/10, the generation of danger felt like more disjointed ideas and it was a solid 7/10 but this debut is just TOO POWERFUL.
also,Tallah have said that every album is a separte story there are easter eggs in The Generation of Danger but they are there for the fans. The stories dont intertwine or anything, its like an anthology, every chapter is a different story and world.
also one interpretation of "Fram di battam, wash di room fah mi chain -Cup full ah piss An eh brimma’, brimma’, brimma’ Si mi pan di news Mek mi choose-fools Cah mi jah rinna’, rinna" is supposedly Patois a jamaican dialect and from the reddit post i found it means "from the bottom watch the room of me change, cup full of piss at the brim brim brim. See me on the news makes me choose fools, call me the winner winner winner"

Will have to come back after work to watch this -- incredible album that only gets better with more listens. Probably my album of the year that year (2020?)

@RUNTY 49:29 the lyrics there are Jamaican Patios (patwa). Put in plain English it says:
From the bottom was the room for my chain, cup full of piss and it's brimming, brimming. See me on the news, make me choose? Fools. 'Cause I'm just winning, winning.

Thanks for getting into the lyrics and story. There’s such a potential for reactors to listen to Tallah and try to decider the story while listening. Quite a unique and interesting reaction videos

I've always thought the Tallah albums would make amazing Halloween Horror Nights houses.

Even though you can clearly pick out their influences, they are still so different and stand out from everyone else. Part of that obviously has to do with how unique Justin is. Hard Knock is a standalone single like Vanilla Paste and they have a couple covers too. One is Gooba and they also did Friend Like Me from Aladdin as part of an April Fools joke. Justin has a bunch of one take performances of their songs also.

The best part is they covered Aladdins whole soundtrack, it's just on their patreon :D

If you haven’t done it yet you should film your reactions to Justin’s descriptions of each songs meaning. I know i at least would find that interesting.

An important factor of this story is that Kungan was locked inside, I believe for his entire life. Tallah was the only one with knowledge on how to leave, but Kungan killed her and ate her without learning that knowledge.

I personally prefer TGOD over Matriphagy, but I still think that Matriphagy is a great album. It's definitely what got me into Tallah back in 2020. Great band, great music, great reaction video!
