Painting is all about creating lights and darks. Some folks are really good at only painting the darks. Some folks are better at wiping away paint to create the light. You seem to be in the "wiping" category, which I am as well. Neither is right or wrong ... as long as you've prepped your surface for that to happen. One of the easiest ways to prep a surface is to use a gloss medium. You weren't specific in what medium you used to create a gloss surface, but any gloss medium will do. I get why you used whatever medium you did as it allows the paint to literally slide on or off of the surface. Easy to add to, easy to wipe off. Takes away the need to use traditional tedious methods of producing lights and darks. Pretty well paints itself! Thanks for the video. Way cool.
Tammy I have been watching his videos also and I believe that it is foam paper that he uses.... And I want to thank you for introducing me to his page his work is amazing so is yours thank you...
Ty very much for sharing this, it looks absolutely awesome, I'm generally a chicken when it comes to trying new techniques n talk myself out of it BUT I'm definitely trying this.. it looks amazing.. thank you again for the inspiration that you are...
LOL 😂 Your beautiful ocean got leopard 🐆 💙 spots! It's a more realistic jellyfish Tammy. Most jellyfish are transparent so you can't really see them untill after they sting you. I love this look and the technique. 😍 Now I need to get some wooden panels to try this out.
Because of you I have watched all his videos he is amazing. I love how your painting came out will you be embellishing it when it’s dry would love this. Hope you enjoyed sunny hot SW Florida

I use shaper makers. I think that MIGHT be what he uses to although he is in a different country so it could be something different but shaper makers...(those silicone like brushes) will work!:) This stuff IS SO MUCH FUN and I was just as floored when I found him as well! LOL! Thx for giving him props! He is an absolutely wonderful artist and so are YOU! Love your jellyfish and love you so much Ms Tammy! :):) xo P.s. Doesn't someone have a b-day coming up or near?? Happy bday to my dear friend! If i missed it I apologize and if I nipped it before it happened then so be it! haha! LOVE YOUUU!!!
I just love how you not only create a fabulous piece of art, but you go out of your way to teach everyone. It has always seemed to me, that you are more into helping us do beautiful paintings, and your piece is like an afterthought. Thank you so much for being such a caring, great person.
The bubbles created with the alcohol really add to the jellyfish and ocean. They seem to be in the areas of the shoreline and you would expect to see many bubbles
