Every morning when i woke up she was lying for my door from my bedroom. She was very patient, good listener and sometimes a goofbal. I can tell so much about her.

Ive got one, shes the embodiment of the word “crackhead”. If you ever get a german shepherd, just know that if they have a slanted downwards back, they will have hip problems in their later life. Its a known germ trait, it was selectively bred for aesthetic, but its really bad for their back legs.
German Shepherds aren't the only crackhead breeds. My lab goes absolutely nuts sometimes and can be a handful. I had a collie x lab before him and she also fit the definition. Neither breed is for the feint of heart.
The show dog is bred to have far too much slope in its hindquarters . This is so cruel , and also American breeders priorities looks ,and the dogs end up not being of true abilities or character . The American association should be STOPPED and legally banned from breeding .they are ruining the breed
The big problem with German Shepards is they think they’re lap dogs. Cradling an 80 pound Shepard upside down in your lap so it gets tummy rubs might be cute, but it’s awkward.
Family oriented and very protective. When my kids were 8-6-4 the would ride my Shepherd like a pony. And the dog loved it as much as the kids did. I sure miss that dog.
I have had several German Shepherds and I have the best of them all now and I love her more than my own life but that father who smacked his kids ass with the shepherd there that was just plain stupid he could have gotten himself or that child bitten because he made the dog and the child jump he should not have a German Shepherd
They are very gentle with old frail people and have infinite patience with dementia patients.

I've had 9 white gsd since 1981. Zero hip problems. Not all sheps get hip dysplasia

They are not the ultimate guard dogs. Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, Doberman Pincher, and Cane Corso are all better guard dogs.
