I don’t really do a percentage or anything like that. I sell everything and he just does the job as soon as possible, these jobs are usually $1200-3000 and I pay him usually $250-350 per job because he’s quite literally the best at what he does and that’s what he’s happy making doing them and after that, the costs of supplies, customer acquisition costs etc. I’m still making around $800-2000 per job for the company net. I guess if you were to add up all the jobs and do the math to find out what percentage has gone to home I’d say maybe 16-22% but we just say $250 for our easier jobs and $300-350 if they’re jobs that are going to require a full day of work or maybe even a second day.
@@GriffinThomasMFCEO,Thanks for giving me some insight. If the contractor is supplying their own products, gas, etc...everything it would take to do the job. What would be a good percentage to pay them?
My guy uses his own truck gas and all, only thing I buy is some supplies. He even uses his own tools. So I would do it the same as I do now, but reimburse for supplies and ask for the receipts so I can get the write off credit, otherwise no reimbursement
By ghp I’m assuming you mean general pest control services, and to put in perspective going into this year we have about $90,000 in general pest control recurring revenue, we have about $1000-3000 in yearly termite only renewals, and about the same on exclusion warranty renewals.
Alright. Ive heard that its best to work with experts to do SEO and everything. Would you say thats usually true or is it always worth learning yourself?
I would say if you have at least 1 year or business expected expenses saved up, then you should definitely start outsourcing as much as you can as it’ll definitely speed up the process of getting the phone ringing. However I even just hired GorillaDesk for the SEO side of things over a year after being in business and managed to get 20-70 leads per month on my own from doing the work (and still do plenty today still on my own). It’s best to get started with whatever you have, nothing beats good old fashioned hard work and grit
You mentioned you only made $3,000 in sales your first year. Did that include your initial sign ups for recurring services? Or is this $3,000 one time services and you more than likely never saw them again or they might call you back as needed.
My first year was only 2 months as I started in November of 2020. Those were a mix of one time services along with a handful of recurring services who are still customers today

Depends on the size of the restaurant, what kind of issues they have, etc. I have had some I had to do every 2 weeks which was $165/mo I have others that have minimal issues that we do maintenance on monthly for about $90/mo. Then of course there’s little donut shops and whatnot that you can’t really charge much of anything but like $50 per treatment at most (we avoid most of these currently)
