Hi Devin! These videos are awesome. We are looking at this resort (and this room) for our honeymoon next year vs. Sandals La Toc (which I noticed you went to as well). I am leaning more towards Grenada (it looks newer & nicer) but from someone who has been to both recently, what is your opinion? Thanks so much & thanks for these awesome videos!
Hey Kaity, thanks so much for watching and commenting! It's definitely hard to say which resort we liked better, but I think I still lean toward Grenada. As you mentioned, LaSource was definitely newer and nicer, yet both resorts were beautifully lush and well kept. Both resorts had great food and service, though I felt the staff at LaSource really went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. I will say I favored the nightly entertainment of LaToc over LaSource. The other cool thing about LaToc is that you're able to enjoy 2 other nearby Sandals resorts (Halcyon and Grande St. Lucian) for free (complimentary shuttles provided by Sandals), so it was just a cool way to get off the resort for a day to experience the other resorts. Overall, you can't go wrong at either place, but LaSource slightly wins over LaToc for me! And yes, this room at LaSource was awesome!! Highly recommend it!
Thanks Ashley! I was actually really curious about that too when we first booked and couldn't find much online. It led to an area outside behind our suite. Once you opened the door there was a flat area of small rocks & pebbles, and then a rock cliff wall about 8' high. There wasn't any landscaping or furniture so we didn't ever go back there. I suppose it would have been cool to have that door open while soaking in the tub or showering just to feel like you're somewhat outside, but then again it did seem like a prime area for lizards and other critters so who knows what may have come into the room!
+There's definitely some cool sightseeing tours you can book either before your arrival or once your at the hotel. Sandals works with a company called island routes so we used them for the two tours we did. Here's a video of our land excursion which was a jeep and river tubing tour (ruclips.net/video/NQKNACyocYQ/видео.html). We also did the pilot your own boat and snorkel trip which was a cool way to see the island from the water...ill be adding a full video of that to my channel soon! There's a few waterfall tours which we wanted to do but never got around to :(. Otherwise, sandals offers scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, and plenty of other activities! @Stanley Steril
