Swami Sarvapriyananda is the Minister of Vedanta Society of New York, a Harvard fellow, monk, philosopher and a popular teacher. He teaches Advaita (Nondual) Vedanta philosophy that expounds the ultimate reality of life, universe and everything. The philosophy is firmly grounded in reasoning and direct experience. He is also well-versed in many other philosophies of the world and was recently offered a fellowship at Harvard. He is an excellent speaker and has spoken at many large forums, including TedX, Science and Nonduality (SAND) conference, and many renowned universities/colleges. He is very popular worldwide and also has a large following on RUclips, as his talks cater well to the scientific intellectual minds and he seamlessly relates ancient wisdom to modern society.

I had been meditating and diving deep into consciousness studies for roughly a decade and from a secular perspective the results were very good. Then late summer last year while searching RUclips for content on consciousness I came across Sadhguru and one simple sentence struck me, and that was to open up a small space between mind and consciousness and I realized I had often been in that "space" in deep meditation. Then Swamiji's videos began popping up in my RUclips recommended videos and I started watching them and I was hooked. Within less than two month I had a mind-blowing precognition experience that left me shaken to the core followed by a full-blown Awakening experience that lasted for the better part of two months.
Some years back I practiced techniques for lucid dreaming with some success and my Awakening experience was like a waking lucid dream. When attaining lucidity in a dream one realizes one is not the dream body but the dreamer and the entire dream. My experience was just like that only in waking reality. I realized, and experientially, that I was not mind-body but Consciousness and It was in everything and everything in It. While a lucid dream is an amazing experience this was beyond profound. One of the most amazing aspects was when looking into another's eyes I "knew" without a shadow of doubt I was looking right back, to the point of expecting a knowing wink back. Same with my dog and all animals and even insects, and to a lesser extent trees and other flora. I was literally everything and everything me and experientially so. It was far beyond intellectual and this attempt at explaining doesn't even begin to do it justice. It's beyond intellect and language.
While it did eventually fade it hasn't totally dissipated and there's no way to unexperience it. That "space" is still present below the surface and very accessible in deep meditation and the Karma Yoga practice of Work as Witness, though not nearly as ever-present or intense as those couple of months late last year.
I'm ever grateful to Swamiji for pointing me in the direction that revealed what was always there but never realized/recognized.

If we are here now without our choice, we are always here. Because there is no need of freewill for living on this earth. Because animals too live.
Every humans has three state of experience,
1.physical experience-----cold, touch, pain, heat, pleasure.... Etc
2. Emotional experience---love, hatred, sex, fear... Etc
3.mental experience ---ghost, god, beliefs, supernatural powers.... Etc
Majority of the humans comes under the experiences of two and third category. So its very tough for them to experience their true nature. If one witness these experiences using their consciousness, logic and freewill which animals lack, they will be liberated from the cycle of everlasting birth and death. Because our life is not our choice. We were forced to born.
Consciousness is not intelligent. Because there is lot of pain, sufferings and agony in this world. Because every living being on this earth suffers a disease from the time of conceiving, hunger. Hunger is a disease and food is the medicine.
The only experience in this body that we never fedup with is sleep. We can sleep continuosly for 24months without exhaustion. But we cant be awake continuosly for 24hours without exhaustion.

From a vedic point of view consciousness is sat-chit-ananda ( eternity that knows and loves itself ) to love yourself is to " know " yourself because you can't love yourself if you are not conscious of yourself so love and self are concomitant. Knowing is the self's ontological nature, love and being the principle that allows the body to grow from infant to old age is it's dynamic nature, and being an eternal " in the now " reality that knows only " sameness " is the self's eternal nature and this nature of consciousness is what makes it defined as sat-chit-ananda. Being dynamic consciousness is the cause of the body developing, a dead child does not grow up because once consciousness is no longer present all bodily functions cease.Life does not come from chemicals, on the contrary, the chemicals come from life. What is conscious of this causality? Answer: Consciousness and the reason is because consciousness knows cause because it causes things to be caused.

Physical body, Mind body, Pranic body, Inellect body and the Bliss body
Swami Sarvapriyananda is the personification of ancient Indian wisdom applied to the fundamental problem of the 21 Century. “How to find peace love and compassion in a world full of atomic bombs”
It means that we cannot know the ultimate nature of mind, consciousness, self, reality through math, measurement, data or materialistic science, neuroscience, psychology or philosophy of science. This has enormous consequences for living life mindfully and ethically. Non-dualism says entire universe is an appearence within consciousness. Vijnanavada is a school in later Mahayana Buddhism (influenced by Hinduism) and not what Buddha taught. Thank you Swamiji.

It is indeed difficult to grasp the concepts in one hour lecture, especially who is listening it for the first time, that too half heartedly. It is supposed to be like this. It is the peak of human intelligence and philosophy.
