I was in panto with Frankie Howerd and Dora Bryan at the London Palladium - way back in the early 70s. It was fun, but I'd have loved to do panto with John; they say he was phenomenal as the Dame, and here we can see why. He forms an instant bond with the audience.

I adore this classic Music Hall entertainment. Slightly naughty, never mean, and the audience part of the show.
I wish the BBC would release these shows on dvd, they're entertainment gold.
