Ah yes , the Kansas suburbs. In KC suburbs means more jobs, higher density , less single family housing, larger economy and way way less crime.

Crime rates are generally lower in the suburbs compared to the city in most large metropolitan areas. However, many people still prefer city living for various reasons-it's all about personal preference. In this video, I'm simply highlighting the trends I've observed among the people I'm helping relocate here.

Brookside/ Waldo, Plaza, Westport & Midtown, Crown Center are being over run with property & auto theft often resulting in gun violence. Outside Jackson county are safer options. Winter - 6” snow will shut this city down, could be 1 day or a few days. Snow removal & road winter treatment is a toss up. Unless you work from home winter months can be challenging. KC is consistently top 10 for violence #6 Auto theft. If considering a move to the KC area, choose wisely.

I live in Waldo. There is crime, but I wouldn’t say we’re being “over run” with it. Hopefully a change in prosecutors will help.

There was a murder in Waldo the other day and a well known Brookside chef was killed outside his house taking out the trash.

His name is Shaun Brady and he was the chef for Brady & Fox in Brookside. There’s a memorial fund set up here for anyone who cares to donate www.kcirishfest.com/p/shaun-brady-memorial-fund

@mroie nice! I don’t live too far from there myself. I’m sure anyone watching this would appreciate a differing view if you’d like to share your own perspective.
