nope- actually i read some of the manga and im not a manga reader but i think eren is doing this not just for his friends but for the future of paradise cause he dosent want the future kids to go through what he has gone through in his life he wants them to not worry at all and just enjoy life without any stress,fear,pressure and anxiety about the titans coming in the walls the fact that he even agreed at when historia was gonna eat eren cause he thought it was the right thing to do since he joined the scouts so he could be free but more enemy is just on the other side alo i think the war is to stop marley from everything what they have done and what they will do in the future so basically he is doing this not just to free him from the sorrow of the people that died for him and the innocent people that died in fights, accidents, the fall of the wall and etc. but to actually free paradise from marley... also this is just my thought/opinion so idk if this true or not-
