    ABOUT LAS CATALINAS
    ====================
    Since its conception in 2005 (construction started in 2009), Las Catalinas has been envisioned as a place where kids can run around freely while their parents sip cocktails while looking out at the splashing Pacific waves.
    It is inspired by Mediterranean seaside towns with a hat tip to the vibrant homes and retail stores of Antigua, Guatemala, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
    But beyond the kid-friendly plaza fountains and stroller-friendly cobblestone pathways is a neighborhood with gorgeous architecture, convenient access to sea sports like boogie boarding and snorkeling, and a few restaurants offering three meals a day.
