I'm brutally honest but there is a huge difference between being brutally honest and straight up disrespectful.
Yes, I did hurt people with my honesty but it was for their own good ( to prevent teen pregnancy scares, drugs, suicides, etc) not for a wedding dress, I dont think that's worthy enough to ruin someone's day for.
The version I know is that 'brutally honest' is usually used about people who are more 'brutal' than 'honest'. You can say what you want to say without being an arsehole about it. And for some people - vain types usually - if they can't be 'honest' without hurting feelings, they feel as if they failed somehow. Sad individuals. And am I getting a 'failed cosmetic surgery' vibe about this guy?

The problem with “Mr Michael” is most of what he said wasn’t constructive. Constructive criticism can sound harsh but shows someone truly cares enough to want you to grow and become better. Although that may have been his intentions, he was being rude, harsh and down right mean! Like grow up, if you’re really a coach tell her how to be better not how much everything she does is always wrong. So self centred and unsympathetic. It’s just sad. At least he finally let her be happy in a dress she loved because she looked beautiful!

Michael acts as if he is the president of America! Some men can be so trash. So much attitude and so much I know it all types. He literally made the bride cry. The team really did the best and finally she got her dress. I loved the first one though. It looked great on her figure.

I wonder if Mr Michael was actually feeling uncomfortable because this was going to be HER wedding, and a new phase in her life when her focus and attention would shift to her husband and, eventually, family. Perhaps he felt his importance to her was waning and, out of that, his insecurity made him try to re-establish his dominance with her today. I think he is probably so used to running the show that he didn't know how to just sit and enjoy this being about her.
